considering a Honda Grom. Still need a motorcycle license

If you can, I recommend taking an MSF motorcycle safety class, either at Leeward CC or at one of the military bases.  It's a great refresher if you rode years ago, and a good basic class for beginners.  If you have a larger bike (> 500cc), the course makes the test much easier using their bikes.  The county test is difficult enough on a small 200cc-ish bike.  I tried on an 1100, and failed the first time.  When you complete the course, they send a certificate to DMV to waive the test.  They still make you pay the test fee, the bastards!  But, you will not have to show up at the DVM to check in for the test, then drive over to the test location in morning traffic.

I think I paid $150 for the LCC course in 1999.  Website says it's now $200.  Took me 4 Saturdays, I think.  Now it looks like you can get it done in 1 Thursday evening plus 2 weekend days all in the same week:  Thursday classroom session 6-9pm, Sat & Sun skill sessions 7am - 3:15pm.  More convenient for most, I'm sure.

I'd recommend before taking the course you stop by any DMV and pick up a motorcycle safety study booklet.  It's like the driver's test study guide you buy at Longs, but it was free at most DMV locations.  They might have changed, but that was my experience.  Once you've studied, go back to a DMV testing location, and take the motorcycle written test.  When you pass, you'll be issued a MC learner's permit.  You'll need that to practice riding and to take the skills part of the course.

All in all, the class makes getting a HI MC license super easy compared to having to do it all on your own.  I think it's worth the money.

Polls taken in September show 20% of Biden voters regret their vote.  But in actuality……..

DHS building $455K security fence around Biden’s Delaware beach house

https://americanmilitarynews.com/2021/10/dhs-building-455k-security-fence-around-bidens-delaware-beach-house/

A security fence costing American taxpayers nearly half a million dollars is being built around the border of President Joe Biden’s beach house in Delaware, a federal database on government spending shows. Biden has been a staunch opponent of fencing along the US-Mexico border.
According to USASPENDING.gov, the Department of Homeland Security awarded on September 21 a $456,548 contract to Rehoboth’s Turnstone Builders for “purchase and installation of security fencing at 32 Farview, Rehoboth Delaware.” Biden bought the home in June 2017 for $2.7 million, tax records show.

Biden’s beach house barrier is currently “in progress” and is slated to be finished by December 31.

Don't hear any joking of this on NPR, radio and late night talk shows (at least the commercials for them since I don't watch them).

No media bias, at all. . .

And probably not his fault again, or the last time, or the time before that.  At 1 firearm training that I go to this phrase is used often "we call that a clue".  Often when I'm getting crap about shooting a G17 better than a VP9.  With VP9 at 25 yards, medium cadence, maybe half the shots will hit an index card.  With G17, all shots were on the index card.  So running joke.

Just curious because I know nothing about the VP9. Is the rake of the stock the same or different than the G17? And if different is the G17 at more of an angle? Is the VP9 closer to a 1911?

So, you shoot someone else's G17 better than your VP9?   ???

There's also, "don't be THAT guy".  The one the instructor is ALWAYS waiting on, seeming to stumble to the beat of a monkey banging a drum, etc.  It's amazing how clueless some folks can be.
