Just curious because I know nothing about the VP9. Is the rake of the stock the same or different than the G17? And if different is the G17 at more of an angle? Is the VP9 closer to a 1911?

Don't know cause I've never held a 1911 long enough to compare. 2-6 more weeks and I will.  What I can say is the VP9 is more snappier than a G17, G45, G19.  But not as snappy as a Beretta 92.  No poof poof for the VP9.

I did shoot a RDS on a VP9 and one with irons back to back.  At 7 yards, rapid fire grouping with irons were like jabone.  Rapid fire 10 seconds later with RDS was grapefruit.  So I can imagine rapid fire with RDS on a Glock would be even tighter.  The biggest difference was the pick up between shots was reduced a lot. The red dot easier to get back on target than lining up irons.

So, you shoot someone else's G17 better than your VP9?   ???

There's also, "don't be THAT guy".  The one the instructor is ALWAYS waiting on, seeming to stumble to the beat of a monkey banging a drum, etc.  It's amazing how clueless some folks can be.

I wasn't getting enough rounds on the index card. So a friend said "here try use this".

If I could get the VP version with the "American" mag release (B version or something like that?), I would.  That's why I bought a PPQV2 instead of the version with the "International" mag release.

My first pistol is an HK and has the ambi mag release on the bottom of the trigger guard.  I am sure if I shot/trained with it often, I could grow into it.  But as it is, it messes me up.  haha

I’m going to put this out there as just a generalized comment. The VP9 stock is very close to being straight up and down. Or close to 90 degrees to the axis to the barrel. The Glock’s stock has a more radical rake compared to the axis of the barrel. For a lot of people the rake of the stock of the Glock helps some shooters to point more naturally due to the angle of one’s wrist. And because of the added angle to one’s wrist, muzzle flip feels less and maybe feel softer shooting. It can also add to the controllability of the gun. It may or may not be the reason. But I shoot my Glock better than my Sig which has a rake that is more in line with the VP9. My Sig has a much better trigger and a great feel and balance. Yet the Glock points more naturally for me so it feels softer shooting and I can double tap with it much faster. I control it much better even tho my Sig theoretically should be a better shooter for me. That could be one reason you shoot it better. On the other hand lot’s of practice can change that. But why fight it? JMHO  :shaka:

Check out the difference in the photo I attached.

And here I thought most folks say that the 1911 points more naturally to them.

Man, that was hard to watch.

That part where he is standing on stage and he has both his hands clenched at waist level.  Reminds me of my mom (Bless her heart and RIP) when she was suffering from end stage dementia.

She used to hold her fists like that too.

Let's go Brandon.  It's time to leave.
