Because Hawaii's leaders, along with the people who have voted them in for decades and decades, believe that criminals have rights too. Just as much as law abiding citizens. Many times more so.
Hawaii's leaders, along with their dear loyal sheeple, believe that all your hard work earnings and property should be given to these poor individuals, since they are misunderstood, oppressed, and reaching out for love and understanding. (sob).
When they steal your car, let them have it. God Bless them.
When they break into your house, run away, telling them to take what they want. Because you see, they are misunderstood and needs understanding. Poor things, God Bless them.
When they rape you, tell them to take their time.
When they rob you, tell them where the rest of the money is, or tell them where your other family members are.
If they hit you, offer them other parts of your body.
You see, it's all about ohana. We are all family.
Hawaii leaders and their loyal followers believe it is your duty to retreat from all of the above. You might as well comply because the police are only there to come after the crime is committed then hang around talking to each other and busying themselves by putting up the yellow "do not cross" ribbon.
These statements are intentionally written with sarcasm. But when you think about it, how far is this from the real truth? Not much when you take into consideration about what susan ballard said if you choose to defend yourself, your loved ones, or your property with a firearm.
And the next police chief, whomever that will be, will have the same attitude. Hawaii's leaders and the police commission will make damn sure of it.
They say "Lucky you live Hawaii". I say good luck being alive with all of these emboldened criminals running around knowing 2a is non-exsistant.
