I finally got back out to the range. It's one of the handful of times I get out every year. 

Man, it was a good day. I got to shoot my Saiga using the iron sights. It was amazingly more accurate than I thought.

I also got to plink with the 10/22. It is such a fun little rifle. It's zeroed out to 100 and shooting at 50 yards, you need to aim about 6" low. And at 200 yards, you need to aim about 6' high
At 50 yards, it will shoot a ragged hole. It can even do that at 100.

One thing I got to see was a CheyTac M200. Its the same rifle from shooter. There was a concussive blast when it went off. There was also a .510 DTC rifle. I tried to take a picture of both of them with my phone, but it didn't turn out too good. The CheyTac is on the bench and the .510 DTC is on the ground in the pic.

Lucky u.  Been a long time. Maybe after my last two weeks of this block on insturctions.  A Saiga is a semi auto shoty right?  based on the AK design right?

Sweet!  Maybe I should save my dimes for a ruger 10/22.

If things go as planned, I'll be out there next Friday (16) after 12pm.  If you see a guy function checking a Benelli super90 and fumbling with an AR, come over and say hi to the FNG.

My Saiga is actually a "sporter" style AK rifle and takes the 7.62x39 cartridge and I love it. They do make a semi-auto shotty in 12 gauge, 20 gauge , and .410. They also make a .308, 5.56x45, and 5.45x39 version of the rifle. They are put together in Russia by Izhmash right along side the real AKs. Right now they are imported by the Russian - American Armory Company.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention; the Lost crew was out at the range too. I didn't see any of the actors, but their big trailers were taking up all the parking They've been filming all over recently.

Jaydawg, definitely get a .22. They are so much fun and you can feed them all day long with very little $$$.

2a, i am envious!  I still gotta get out to work on a new load for 300WM and 223.  Hmmmm, every time i log in someone is talking about a 10/22, I can't stand the peer pressure!!! LOL  Be nice to have when i get lazy to reload!
