An 18-year-old man was arrested for first-degree robbery Saturday night near the scene of a deadly police shooting just weeks ago.
Mark Sykap, 18, was arrested for the alleged robbery. HPD says he and a 21-year-old used force and a “dangerous instrument” to rob a 20-year-old woman around 1 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Philip Street.

All these repeat offenders running around victimizing people while law abiding firearm owners get harassed and having their 2a rights violated or taken away.

The OP is right:  What's wrong with these people?  Not only that sykap and friends, but our leaders in government.  Bunch of loonie tunes.

Instead of turning law abiding firearm owners into criminals how about focusing efforts and resources to turn criminals into law abiding citizens.

F*ckn crazy world we live in I tell you.

He was the other person in the stolen car that got shot and his older "hawaiis most wanted" brother is the other suspect in this robbery

when you have weak judiciary system and you catch and release criminals, you are only conditioning them to be career criminals

If she was in another state she may have been able to pull out her concealed pistol and solved three problems.
2 stopped robbers, and a lesson to future robbers.
Lesson to future robbers;  try burglary on empty homes or businesses.  That crime is not as dangerous.
But of course this is Hawaii and a dead/maimed victim is far preferable to a deceased criminal.

Apparently the other brother was also involved in the robbery and is wanted

The city Prosecutor’s Office said an Oahu grand jury indicted 21-year-old Maruo Sykap with second-degree assault in connection with the incident Saturday. He remains at large.

To be fair, people hated micronesians prior to the shooting.
True, but the reasons differ among the many ethnic groups.

The reasons can range, from some believing that they are unwanted guests to the islands; to them being a collective social-financial burden; to outright racial inferiority.
