'Anti-Racism Sentencing Reform Act': Proposed law in California would drastically reduce penalties for violent gun crimes


"If a gun is used during a violent felony offense – such as a robbery – California’s '10-20-Life' gun enhancement applies. A 10-year enhancement is available for any use of a gun, which is increased to 20 years if the gun is discharged, and to 25-to-life if great bodily injury or death occurs."


The new proposed law would greatly lesson those sentences to one, two and three years respectively. It would also be retroactive, making currently incarcerated people eligible for being released to the streets much earlier.

This, coupled with other planned measures to expand CA's early release program, could possibly result in a deluge of people leaving the CA prison system within a short amount of time.

The bill naturally has its strong critics among those involved with law enforcement within the state of CA:


"In essence, the bill decriminalizes the use of a firearm in California for the most severe, most violent felonies. What this bill would do is encourage violent criminals to use guns during their crime because the penalty is so insignificant," said Eric Siddall, VP of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys  (ADDA) of LA County.

California's population is becoming more black and hispanic and is on the path to overcome the white population if it already didn't do so already.

So naturally the amount of crimes committed by people of color will be higher, but not disproportionate.  It is nothing racial at all.  Just common sense and the law of numbers.

So it's possible that this nation can have a state where there is a 1 to 3 year revolving door involving criminals that have committed a crime with a gun.

With all of the pressing problems plaguing society nowadays, stuff like this gets drummed up to be considered as law.

Stupid people are in the drivers seat in california.

They think if they make things bad enough the people will demand a totalitarian government solution, but what is really happening is that people are leaving. If you are in California get out now. It’s not going to get any better before it gets a whole lot worse

It is also very ironic that Dems use CA as a beacon of progressive ideas and the road map to the future when they just hit #1 state for poverty in the US. Strange they also simultaneously have the most millionaires per capita. Socialism doesn't seem to be working like they are advertising.

The DNC is stealthily pushing their gun ban agenda that is deceivingly labeled as gun control.  Releasing the criminals earlier so they can commit more crimes with guns will give them more fodder to push gun ban laws.  It never was about gun control.  Take away the guns and those fu*kers gain complete control over law abiding citizens.

The only ones with guns now will be criminals.  Then these snake DNC fu*kers will revert back to the original 10-20-life laws or whatever the hell it was to take care of that problem.

When that is done, they have achieved their goal.  Total control.
