Probably cold, sweaty, clammy hands.  And an unconscious reaction.  I'm not defending her (I don't like her at all) but it just shows her inexperience of being constantly under scrutiny which someone in her position holds.

She is being watched and criticized every single moment.  A million times more so than when she was DA or senator.

My best friend has cold, sweaty, clammy hands.  I've done the same on occasion reactively and when he apologizes I embarrassingly tell him no need to be and thank him for understanding.

But yeah, no empathy towards her and if it puts her in a bad light all the better.
