Everyone I know who is white is racist -- by Critical Race Theory definition.
I have known many people who hold misconceptions/stereotypes or make prejudicial assessments of others of different races, but that's not racism. That's bigotry and prejudice.
Archie Bunker (a fictional but famous TV character) was a bigot who believed stereotypes of every race, ethnicity and sexual orientation. Whether it was Blacks, Irish, Pollocks, Jews, or Gays, he assumed everyone in each group behaved and thought similarly. I don't remember him ever espousing a belief that Whites were superior or any other race was inferior.
So, I've known many Archie Bunkers, but no Adolf Hitlers.

The current problem, with Critical Race Theory, is the fanatics in-support and against that theory are the ones unfortunately controlling the narrative, thereby, fostering more race hatred, on both sides, of the spectrum. Is there evidence to support the presence, of systemic or institutionalized racism, in certain public and private institutions, in the US empire today? Yes, there is evidence.
For the fanatics supporting Critical Race Theory, however, that does not mean all White people are bad; employ such prejudice and bigoted behaviors, outside their home or in the workplace; and should be mercilessly ostracized.
For the fanatics against Critical Race Theory, unless you live isolated, on a rural homestead, it would be very disingenuous to claim all White people do not have prejudice or practice bigotry, to other races, or support the idea that certain professions, upper management, political power, etc. should be a White's only club.
As to why, the power okole, who happens to be predominately White, seems oblivious to this issue; the reason is obvious. The oligarchs, of the US empire, loves distraction and division, as race is the only domestic issue, other than garnering hatred to China and Russia, that they can use to prevent American patriots, from focusing their anger and energies against them.
