Oh ignorant youth, the world is not a joyous place. The time has come for you to dispense with the frivolous pleasures of childhood and get down to honest toil until you are sixty-five. Then and only then can you relax and collect your social security and live happily until the time of your death!

Yup. Shit is national stirring the pot.

AP story picked up by major news networks.

But why would HPD not release all the full videos? There’s no trial, unless the cops involved might be charged. Which they won’t be.

What do you mean the full vid?  The one they released showed when cop 1 arrived on scene and made contact with the home occupant.  Then fast forward to his arm going limp and taking blows.  Cop 2's camera shows cop 1 being attacked and fast forward to him shooting.

There's no mass uproar in HI because people saw the vids and when a cop is getting their face smashed in, taser failing, deadly force is acceptable.  His wife is trying to play the race card.

Maybe because Hawaii is a true melting pot - we didn't see a black man getting shot - we saw a man getting shot.

+1^ . I can’t thumbs up that comment enough.

There were reportedly three cops on scene.
They edited the videos before release. At least the ones I’ve seen.
Not one was start when cops exited their vehicles to end, uncut.
I agree. This guy attacked two cops and donutted both of them.
Stoopid games, stoopid prizes. (Apparently pretty good scrapper though.)
So why not use this as the example of transparency ?
Pop, Pop, Pop....”Police !” (That was a little curious.)

Agree.

Now story’s National.
Apparently the Micronesian issue wasn’t enough. (Again playing a stoopid game where perp becomes victim.)

You people are insane
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

This right here.  The man could've been purple or blue for all concerned.

Play stupid games and you win stupid prizes.

There are plenty of racists in Hawaii, try to date a Chinese girl
or get a job at HELCO when you don't have a Japanese or "Porto-gee" last name.
One thing Hawaiians are good at is dealing with it and being
somewhat fair.
Luckily for Hawaii most our Black population is military,
so our crime rate is very low.  That is a fact.
Melting pot , Yes.  But Hawaii really works because
of Family.  :shaka:
