What policies are they the same?
What pro 2a thing has Biden done?
What pro 2a has Trump done?

It's a hypothetical situation.... their policies are exactly the same.  All the immigration,  trade, and everything else.  But 2a is "reversed".  Biden supports and Trump doesn't. If you are a one issue person would you vote for Biden?

Fortunately, I'm not a 1 issue, but that 1 issue does have a huge impact toward my vote/support.

So since the bill of rights is my huge issue, then add in all the other stuff that any politician does that is good/bad dictates my support for them.

So McCain not only shitted on the 2a proved by how he voted for bills, he also voted not to repeal  Barry Care. Hence why I don't like McCain. These are 2 issues that he voted for and not just talked about supporting that "crossed party lines".

To answer your new hypothetical, I would support Biden. But in the real world, it's the opposite.

And since no hypothetical is needed, you openly stated you didn't support Trump this election.  Even though he did many good things.  Which we have already covered in a previous topic, but you still refuse to acknowledge.

Ok let's do something realistic.  Biden vs Trump in a world where they are the same policy wise but Biden supports 2a and Trump doesn't.

2a isn't the only thing in the world bro.

Interesting viewpoint. I personally liked Barry Care. I also am not a 1 issue person and I agree with you that 2a is important.  Its one of my top 3.

I would definitely be against that.   You confuse me for a liberal.  I am neither.  I actually dislike both sides for different reasons.

Does he really derail them or does he just participate and happen to be voicing the less popular opinions? I notice peopl in a minority opinion often get called trolls. Just saying.
Yes.  He argues based on his own perception, opinion, etc of issues.  He's like a little kid who was brought up constantly being reminded that "he is somebody" and with constant reassurance of his beliefs.  When hit with evidence, it's either "not proven in court" or some other way to side step the issue without admitting he was wrong.

Who the hell knows what he's thinking?  Personally, I think he just wants attention.

I often have differing opinions of things with folks on here.  I don't think I've ever been called a troll.  That said, I believe that I approach arguments here with some level of maturity.  Or at least I would like to think so. Yeah, I'll indulge or even egg on the "heads" and other nonsense, but that the fun part of things here.

I wasn't gonna get into it because then this thread will go on and on and on and on and on. So do not reply, this is just a FYI. Even though I posted the same thing and you didn't follow instructions in another post.

Barry care is the only product that forced people to buy.  Which would make sense why you like it.

My insurance went from $120 a month to $400 a month. This was still manageable for me, but I got friends who's premiums went from $600 to $1400 a month.  And we're not talking about inflation of 3-10%. Yes, I econ101. (remember "your rates won't increase".  Inflation OK, but 4X the cost is not inflation)

Then I lost my good plan that I had and had to choose another one (remember the "you can keep your plan")

1 thing thing that Barry care did for working people in HI was hit our wallets.  In 1974, HI has a prepaid healthcare law that all employers must offer their employees if they work X amount of hours for X amount of weeks.  So when I was part time, I declined health care and saved the money instead.  Thanks to Barry Care, now 1 got fined for not having insurance.

Barry Care should have never been law. Instead if the government really cared about those uninsured, they would pay for any medical bills.  But no, they want us to pay, hence the premium increases. Then you have jerkoffs like Jimmy Kimmel cry on TV cause now his son can get the surgery he needed.  Like this guy doesn't have cash to pay for said surgery. Instead now he uses insurance and the carriers pay. Which cause them to increase rates for all to make up for like surgeries.

My analysis is he only holds actual opinions on issues that have been spoon-fed to him via sources he frequents online, many of which I suspect are Liberal Media Propaganda outlets.

For the issues he "feels" haven't been addressed logically by his propaganda whores, he takes the stance that he's on the fence ... there are pluses and minuses on both sides.  He won't come out directly and say "I don't know."  That would preclude him from participating in the thread.  He has to pretend he's well informed on the issue, but that neither side's arguments have swayed him.  Never mind the fact he can't LIST those arguments from both sides.  He only has to say, "Neither side has convinced me," and leave it dangling with no further discussion.  The rest of his comments are opinions and hyperbole that generalizes and/or strays off topic.  Why does he stray off topic so often?  He's not comfortable discussing the topic at hand, of course.

He's like the unpopular guy who wound up at a party by mistake.  He's trying so hard to fit in, he injects himself into every conversation but can't manage to do more than pretend he knows the subject.  Most of his fact-based comments are going to stray off-topic, and could easily be preceded with, "That reminds me of something else I find interesting ..."

His standard arguments he uses to try and shoot down opposing facts are devices he thinks are clever and will push his opponents off balance as they scramble to rebut his inane position.  In truth, we all know he hasn't a leg to stand on, but it has become a game to knock the prosthesis he's invented out from under him as well.

Says the walking conservative talking point machine.

You don't have to worship one party.  It's America you are free to have different views.  It's not on the fence.  It's crossing across the fence to the other side and back again.

It's like you're a member of a gang and everyone who isn't with you is wrong and the enemy.

Also reminds me of some religions where it's a echo chamber and people reinforce each other's facts and opinions and ostracized others.

I've been trying to avoid direct interaction with him in an attempt to deprive him of the attention he obsessively craves.

When I do post, I try to do so in third person, so I'm talking about him, not to him.

Today I addressed him directly for the fist time in a little while.  Some things just can't be left unchallenged.

I've been happily watching others engage him, so I don't feel like it's all on me to call out his constant arguing, off-topic derailments and utter bullcrap.

Every thread devolves into what he said or didn't say, why what he said or didn't say wasn't what he said or didn't say, rinse, regurgitate, repeat.

You could take any of the threads he spends time on and see the same pattern of arguing, name-calling and accusations.  Nothing new.  Just another opportunity to rehash his opinions and craziness.

Carry on.  I'll be in the area all week ....   :geekdanc: :shaka:

EEF,

You asked in a prior thread what's up with omni.  And I gave a broad explanation because I don't expect you to read hundreds of post.  But here is  a most recent example. Check out the climate change thread/EV thread.See below for points that may be out of order, I'm going by memory.

OG stated you can buy a Tesla for the $30's including credits
Members said no you can't
Told OG the tax credits expired
He then posted a Tesla link to the Model 3 that had it listed for $36K
It was the wrong section, that was the savings after not having to pay for gas. The real section it's listed for $39K. Tesla does not give you a credit of $4K in gas savings.
He then said still in the $30's. But was told by others to add in taxes and fee's. Now that car is in the $40's.
He then said with credits that HI offers as evidence to support his statement
He was told to click on the HI link because HI offers ZERO credits for buying an EV. He did not click on the link prior to making the above statement
He then said well in the mainland you get credits
He was then asked if he is buying the car in the mainland or living in the mainland (no he isn't)
So after all of this he finally admitted everyone was correct and he was wrong. This went on for longer than needed.  And b4 posting he was wrong, he had a sentence that was like still trying to say he's right. I can't remember it off the top of my head.

This is his MO, argues 1 topic, then gets proven wrong. Then he decides to research it further and uses confirmation bias to support his still wrong theories.  He may find a loop hole down the road, but it's pure luck. Because if said loop hole was his main argument, he would state it from the very beginning and not after posting more wrong stats/links first.

*Edit
I'm sure he will reply and keep another thread going on and on and on and on.  There is no need to reply.

Most of that could have been summarized as "he knows what he knows, don't confuse him with the facts".  Or "xhe believes/feels what xhe believes/feels, don't confuse it with the facts".

Sorry, couldn't resist.  Start the next train wreck. . .
