I’m from Texas and it’s not as good as it sounds. Yes the conceal carry is good but I do have me CCL and I’ve had it for several years. But the part about Texas made suppressors will never go. I just did another tax stamp last week for another and there are so many things that are in the bill it’s almost impossible to do it. From any material they are made from must be from Texas and any machinery used to build them must be Texas made along with all parts. Gov Abbot has got the title of being a liberal Republican he had to do something.

Since NFA is the "law of the land" (US Federal Law), it's difficult for states to make new laws that circumvent that.

States like HI go a step further and ban all NFA-controlled items.  Only Military and LE can have them here.

At least TX is making an effort to roll back the NFA for items that are not firearms.  If other states follow them, it might create enough momentum to have suppressors removed from NFA.

It has to start somewhere.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
