And learned from the wild fires, EV grid chargers were all down. But gas was still up.

I feel vindicated, I predicted exactly this a couple weeks back in the other thread.

It will be super awesome at the end of summer when the forest fired get going again that the folks with EVs won't be able to exactly hot zones because the electric lines burned.

Simple fix.  Have your house independent of the grid.  Easy with a tesla power wall and solar and renewable energy.

Ever been close to a large brush and/or forest fire?  Not exactly "sunny" on the ground .....

Perhaps, since you think HOT DAYS will result in more solar electric power being produced by panels, maybe you similarly believe a forest fire can't help but cause more power production from the heat it produces?

Wildfire smoke slashes solar energy production in California

Quote
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Smoke from wildfires in California slashed the state's solar energy by nearly a third
earlier this month because minuscule airborne particles reduced the amount of sunlight reaching panels,
according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

You know what batteries are right?  You charge them before hand.  I hope you dont flee fire days after its been burning around you.

Do you think fires only create smoke overhead if it's "burning around you?"

How long have fires gone uncontrolled in CA before they travel to more populated areas?  Days?  Weeks?  All the smoke and steam created by the fire and water drops are going to interfere in solar production for days or weeks BEFORE you potentially get the evacuation order.

You always tend to frame your answers in a made-up, fake world you imagine.

You can't charge your batteries if the sunlight was blocked for few days.  Did you use your car at all in that time?  Go get food and water just in case?  Did you have to go to work?  Were you unable to find a vacant charger and have sufficient time to have the batteries charged?

Most people don't install batteries at home because they are unreliable, expensive and a hazard.  You keep throwing out all these "solutions," but then expect everyone else EXCAPT YOU to be able to afford them.  You seem to think you have all the answers -- for everyone except you.

once again he never read past the headline and is just making sh*t up

Musk's Powerwalls arent designed for 'off the grid' set up he is AOC pretending, they are a battery back up and off peak storage if you have heavy duty PV.  There is no 'grid replacement' system on the market anywhere or you would hear about people putting a dozen in a day to get away from rising energy costs.

Also the City and State decides how much PV you can put up on your home, not OmniDumb and his wishful thinking.

Not if you are off grid.

Hey if you willing to donate I'll buy a house and car and make sure it's all electric and off grid.

I've never said everyone should go off grid.  Stepping stones.

And don't need to pretend that gas solves everything you can have shortages of gas in a disaster too.
