Happy 4th.
This is one day for everyone that doesn't have 1400 pound creatures that
go through fences like they are butter,  to violate Hawaii law with abandon.
Keep a charged water hose handy.
Celebrate Freedom, what little we have left.
Beer, bombs, and Barbecue.
Aloha.

The holiday continues today.
Yesterday the range was pretty empty as the weather was junk.
But I did have a successful bbq with my kids.
Baby back ribs, moonshine, sausages and homemade chocolate haupia pie.
I might go shoot today. Anybody else?

I haven't been able to re-locate the source,  but American privateers crews went through 2 gallons
of wine per day, per person.  The only safe water to drink.
And they were taking it off British ships.
I'm a Christian man, I stream church service, Zoom bible study,
and I like my beer.
Drink responsibly.

They also drank a lot of tea.  At least they did before it was overtaxed and blown up in the harbor!   :geekdanc:

In a world that didn't have the technology to make foods and beverages as safe as we can today, it only makes sense they would apply alcohol internally.

Sailboats would not have worked when crossing the Delaware River in Winter.

Survival tip #1
Don't eat a lot of roast pork and spaghetti before getting on the boat.

No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.

I found the trick was to not drink coffee.
On my 45 footer I had no coffee.
Nobody ever got sick on my sailboat.
and I've been in weather pegging at over 65 kts.
