They don't want you waiting until the last minute to buy your BBQ supplies for Memorial Day.

What?  You're supposed to take mom out for Mother's Day so she's not cooking or worrying about what others are doing to her kitchen.

We always wound up at K&W Cafeteria, because my grandmother and mother could both agree on it.

I believe Mother's Day has historically been the second busiest day of the year for restaurants.  Of course, Valentine's Day is #1.

"International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia"
is a holiday observed around the world on May 17. The event is held every year to help raise awareness about L.G.B.T.Q. issues.
There should be a holiday to raise awareness about stupidity. An extremely contagious disease spread by viral tik tok videos.

It's also "National Pack Rat Day"
You need to fight the temptation to buy a TEMU Automatic Wall-Mounted Toothpaste Dispenser.
Don't buy the set of 216 colorful magnetic balls either.

I think there is a national stupidity day.  It's coming soon.

Maybe the day before should be the national stupidity awareness day.

And possibly the day after also.

I looked it up.
It was on April 1.
Started in 1979 in San Francisco. It all makes sense now.

Phobia
Quote
A phobia is an anxiety disorder defined by a persistent and excessive fear
of an object or situation.[1] Phobias typically result in a rapid onset of fear and are
usually present for more than six months.[1] Those affected go to great lengths to
avoid the situation or object, to a degree greater than the actual danger posed.[1]
If the object or situation cannot be avoided, they experience significant distress.[1]
Other symptoms can include fainting, which may occur in blood or injury phobia,[1]
and panic attacks, often found in agoraphobia and emetophobia.[6] Around 75% of
those with phobias have multiple phobias.[1]

Phobias can be divided into specific phobias, social anxiety disorder, and agoraphobia.[1][2]
Specific phobias are further divided to include certain animals, natural environment,
blood or injury, and particular situations.[1] The most common are fear of spiders, fear
of snakes, and fear of heights.[7] Specific phobias may be caused by a negative experience
with the object or situation in early childhood.[1] Social phobia is when a person fears a
situation due to worries about others judging them.[1] Agoraphobia is a fear of a situation
due to perceived difficulty or inability to escape.[1]

I've had chance encounters with homosexuals, bisexuals, and more than likely transsexuals, transgenders & transvestite.

Not once do i recall exhibiting the symptoms of "phobia" in any way, shape or form.

Whoever named these "conditions' must have done it on April 1st.

The only obvious part of this is that people who have certifiable mental abnormalities want to label anyone who doesn't affirm, support or acknowledge their delusion, illusion and confusion as themselves having a behavioral disorder.

The word of the day is Coulrophobia ... A Fear of Clowns.

These people should avoid Washington, DC, mainstream media buildings and all Left-Wing public protests or rallies.

I love Krispy Kreme.  When just made it melts in your mouth.  I can eat 739,456 of these in one sitting.

Growing up near where KK got its start, I was unaware there were any donuts other than KK.

Every town I lived in had a KK bakery nearby, and there was one within walking distance near my dorm in college.     They were all open 24 hrs, so when you're pulling an all-nighter to study or work on a computer project (mainframe terminals were tied up all day and evening), there was always at least one place open for coffee and donuts.

Of course, every market and gas station sold them, guaranteed to not be more than a day old.  And KK was "the" fundraiser for most groups.  I sold them for Boy Scouts, church youth group and HS Band more than once.  Saturday and Sunday mornings were especially profitable, as people just waking up after drinking the previous night had no will power.

I went home for my 30th class reunion 9 years ago, and as I left the football stadium after the homecoming game, there was the football boosters selling KK.  I bought 3 dozen, and they were only $5 each.  I went online today to check, and in that same town, one dozen glazed costs the selling organization $6.75 now, and the recommended price for "donors' is $13.50.  That's inflation for you!

Still worth it!  I normally bring a couple dozen home from Vegas, San Diego, or wherever.  Once, my flight was delayed. I missed my connection to Honolulu and had to spend the night in LA.  Needless to say, not all 2 dozen made it home -- sitting in the airport at 10AM, Starbuck's in hand,  waiting to find out if I can get a seat on the 12:15.  Nom nom nom...

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
