Grab Some Nuts to Women’s Beach Volleyball ?
....
I'm pretty sure some guys are grabbing their nuts while watching women's beach volleyball.
Don't make me draw a picture for you.

Bought a whole watermelon from Costco last Friday.  Still have a few small slices left, so I can "toast" National Watermelon Day!    :geekdanc:

Probably one of the juiciest, sweetest watermelons I can remember buying.  I may run to Costco again this evening for another.

today is ...NATIONAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DAY

sounds like a good reason to get a cookie

I work near a Foodland store and they sell bags of "crispy chocolate chip cookie"  for about $3.
They are pretty good.

I love watermelon.  Enough where I'm trying to grow some in my garden.  Fack, it's not easy.  I'm currently trying to grow the Thai type smaller watermelons.

So far I have two the size of golf balls.  Another one is the size of a softball.  Long way to go.

Another one was the size of a tennis ball and it suddenly died.  Got all rotten and mushy.

Fack.  :(  I just go buy one already.

He supposedly cancelled his giant celebrity party because of super spreader backlash, and now he is begging for more money for his presidential library that was never built. Hawaii dodged a bullet when Chicago outbid us us to house it.

Due to a severe ailment, I am required to have one (1) white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie after dinner every day.  :D

Sorry I was still celebrating chocolate chip cookie day....even as I write this...crunch crunch.
Indeed it is NATIONAL UNDERWEAR DAY !

Speaking of underwear....
There was a lot of women's beach volleyball on tv yesterday.
It reminded me of "grab your nuts day"

Now I wonder...do those Olympic athletes wear underwear?
Track, swimming, diving, gymnastics?
There doesn't seem to be much room for underwear there.

Today is....
INTERNATIONAL BEER DAY

no explanation necessary
My new favorite is this stuff in a girly pink can called strawberry lemonade beer.
It goes really well with foods of all types.
My previous favorite was the 1970s remake of Primo beer.
Primo used to be made in Kakaako and came in stubby Brown bottles.
I remember my Dad's tennis club guys filling the galvanized steel washtub with icè and Primo on warm Sunday afternoons.
I drank the 1972 version then made by Stroh brewing. It had a particularly pleasant maltiness which I like.
Here is a funny spot for Pali Beer featuring the Peter Moon band

And here is cecilio and kapono  celebrating light refreshing Ranier Beer

My dad was a primo beer drinker.  He would save all the empty bottles in their original case and stack them up in our garage.

He would employ my older brother and me to help him stack those cases in our old trusty station wagon and we would trek over to the plant that was in Aiea where I think Best Buy is now.  We would get money back for handing in the empty bottles.

Then dad would give me and my brother pocket change so that we can buy candy, cone sushi, and comic books at our local mom and pop store. :shaka:
