The Jab
« on: August 06, 2021, 01:58:34 PM »
Lots of fear mongering going on both sides of the aisles lately regarding the vaccine. After some further research myself I’ve found myself leaning towards getting it. So what does everyone here think?

I don’t believe in vaccine mandates but aside from that it seems  most hospitalizations are unvaccinated. Also seems like the spikes are occurring in areas with low vaccination rates. Seems like the vaccines are working.

At first I was against this vaccine because I figured I’m not in a high risk category so why would I take the jab for fear of long term side effects.

For those of you not vaccinated what’s your risk factors? And for those who are vaccinated please feel free to make your case.

Here is my $0.02.

Gen 1 cars usually have issues that need to be worked out. Same with gen 1 guns and many other gen 1 stuff.  So can this apply to the vaxxx?

The media and gov lied to the people for 4 years. Russia, Ukraine, Hunter, Trump rape allegations, Flynn, Vindham, etc...So for arguments sake, let's say they are 100% correct this time.  Why should anyone believe them?

Other countries have their stats out and most of their positives and hospitalized are vaxxed. What makes the US different?

But in the end it should be a personal, not forced choice.  And a choice made with all the information available, not censored by 1 side.

If it comes to, might have to take it to work (company policy). Shitty, but rather be employed to pay bills.

I think you are definitely right about the media lies and I forgot to include that in my risk factors. That is one of my biggest reasons for not getting it so far. I don’t believe in the government (Fauci) lying for the “greater good” as some on here have stated. If they were lying then who’s to say they’re not still lying for an unknown “greater good”.

As I understand it this “vaccine” technology has been out for years. Not really a Gen 1 type of situation from my limited research.

I need to look up the stats on those other countries. One of my coworkers has a gf who’s a nurse and she’s saying  90+% hospitalization are unvaccinated. However I remember them doing the same thing earlier in the pandemic when referencing “hospitalizations” they were including people who were hospitalized for other reasons but so happened to test positive for COVID in hospital and they classified it as a “COVID hospitalization”.

Me too. However I do think the emotion behind “mandates” are really overstated. For example everyone was up in arms about IGE mandating vaccines for state workers. Lots of misinformation about firing those who won’t or aren’t vaccinated. Most will have exemptions and in Ige’s case they’ll just have to test weekly it sucks but atleast it’s another option.

Each person should sit down with their own physician and discuss it.  Everyone has different situations, needs and health concerns.

Posting your rationalizations and justifications online isn't going to help.  I'm in a higher-risk group due to age, weight and chronic health issues.

Having said that, I opted to postpone the vaccine.  I'm not working outside the home, and I don't go out but once or twice a week.  I think my immune system is very healthy, too.

In fact, I was down with the flu in late Jan 2020 -- the first time I've had it that bad in decades -- right after having a yard sale with lots of people dropping in.  I've not been tested, but as crappy as I felt, and as long as it lasted, I'm suspecting I may have been an early case of COVID.  If so, then the immunity should still be present.

My point is not that you should follow my thought process to decide for yourself.  It's that everyone has a different set or subset of these types of factors to consider.  Only a comprehensive analysis of YOUR factors should be considered by you and your doctor before deciding on the vaccine.

I'm taking one risk while avoiding a few other risks, both known and unknown.  That's my choice, and nobody else is having their "right to not get COVID" infringed upon.

Given the inconsistencies, flip-flops and lies coming out of the administration, Fauci and the media, they are the LAST people I intend to trust when making my decision.

"I trust the government" shows a lack of brains and understanding of not only history, but the current pack of lies being peddled -- both their intentional lies and those born from their sheer incompetence.

So, you do you.  If you're too lazy to do actual research and discuss it with your doctor, then you'll be entrusting your very life to people you'll never meet.

The tech has been around for decades, but not combined with todays lifestyle and other techs. Does it react diff to 5g waves, artificial coloring, other vaxxes, ethanol fuel emissions, steroids? No one knows yet.

I do find it odd how the US with its big vaxx % varies. Maybe other countries took it earlier and its now wearing off. So are u willing to get jabbed every 6 months?

So the question is, do you trust the gov and their agencies? But to be fair, i would trust pfizer with my boto.

The US has had mRNA vaccines for decades, but none (including the COVID vaccines) have been approved for routine use by the FDA.

That alone is enough to at least ask the question, "Why not?"

Everything the official sources have said so far has turned out to be total bald faced lies. They silenced everyone who disagreed with them and many of those censored sources have now been completely vindicated.

If that is not convincing enough and the social pressure of a bunch of terrified sheep is too strong for you to resist then I wish you the best of luck, because you are going to need it.

There is a non mRNA version of the vaccine for those who are worried about that.  The question about "Why not"  is simply its a newer technology.

Not trying to start an argument but here is my 0.02.

I view the vaccine as a way to lessen my risk even a 0.01% less chance of death or adverse effects I'll happily take.  I also view it as my patriotic duty to help my great country in any way I can (within reason).   By getting vaccinated this lessens the chance of infection and spread.  With enough people the USA can overcome this virus and return back to life and on the world stage stronger than ever.  Much like a war, its everyone's duty to ensure this republics survival and prosperity.  My parents and grandparents are at higher risk and if I can decrease that by any amount I'll do it for them,  family is very important to me.

We all know about my trust in science and the government.  So I was willing to listen.  Scientists to me are one of the highest tiers of information accuracy for me followed by the government.  A decent peer reviewed study is desired. Media is somewhere towards the middle, they can be right and wrong and its harder to tell.  Religion is bottom tier.

Wrong.

"Has had mRNA vaccines for decades" is not equivalent to "newer technology."  It's only "new" in that it's not been used before.  It's existence is anything but new.

We've have malaria drugs for decades -- in use and safely administered -- but the Dems cried it was an untested and risky drug to use, even though they showed promise in preventing and treating COVID.  mRNA is the opposite (not approved, not used, not fully tested), but "new technology" is fine now because you trust the government.

See the contradictions?

It was invented after the "other" method of vaccination.  So it is newer.  Like you said its less tested but that does not mean its less safe.    I am not as familiar on the subject of malaria drugs,  but I would trust what the scientists recommended.  If they recommended it to me now, I'll get it.

please show me the peer reviewed study where they did a long term trial of vaccinated vs unvaccinated to compare "cases"/hospitalization/ICU/death and side effects...

you are not familiar with anti-malarial drugs and anti-parasite drugs because you are too closed minded to look into HCQ and ivermectin
just like you refuse to research the definition of "cases" before 2020, the cycle threshold of PCR testing, the definition of herd immunity before summer 2020, and numerous other topics...

it is NOT a newer technology
it has been studied and theorized for decades
and was never used because the safety and efficacy profiles were terrible
the only thing that is "newer" is that this one may work...

When the director of the CDC Walensky went on CNN and flat out lied about the number of deaths of US children from COVID compared to seasonal Flu in the same time frame by 300% maybe its time not to listen to these people anymore.

Literally the CDCs ONE & ONLY JOB is to track those numbers and she flat out lied about their information.  And when  can verify how big a lie it was in less than 3 clicks on their OWN website you have to start asking yourself what is actually motivating these people? It isnt public safety.
