Each person should sit down with their own physician and discuss it. Everyone has different situations, needs and health concerns.
Posting your rationalizations and justifications online isn't going to help. I'm in a higher-risk group due to age, weight and chronic health issues.
Having said that, I opted to postpone the vaccine. I'm not working outside the home, and I don't go out but once or twice a week. I think my immune system is very healthy, too.
In fact, I was down with the flu in late Jan 2020 -- the first time I've had it that bad in decades -- right after having a yard sale with lots of people dropping in. I've not been tested, but as crappy as I felt, and as long as it lasted, I'm suspecting I may have been an early case of COVID. If so, then the immunity should still be present.
My point is not that you should follow my thought process to decide for yourself. It's that everyone has a different set or subset of these types of factors to consider. Only a comprehensive analysis of YOUR factors should be considered by you and your doctor before deciding on the vaccine.
I'm taking one risk while avoiding a few other risks, both known and unknown. That's my choice, and nobody else is having their "right to not get COVID" infringed upon.
Given the inconsistencies, flip-flops and lies coming out of the administration, Fauci and the media, they are the LAST people I intend to trust when making my decision.
"I trust the government" shows a lack of brains and understanding of not only history, but the current pack of lies being peddled -- both their intentional lies and those born from their sheer incompetence.
So, you do you. If you're too lazy to do actual research and discuss it with your doctor, then you'll be entrusting your very life to people you'll never meet.
