We hear so much about Amazon being the devil with so much money being made but we never hear about "artists" like Rihanna who make millions and living the lifestyle of over consumption

Who cares?  They legitimately made their money.  The real problem is people like
Soros, Gates, Bloomberg, and various other multi-billionaires interfering with our politics, to
get their personal beliefs incorporated  into laws, policies, and regulations, we would
not have normally made or proposed as a free people with rights to live as WE see fit.
Those rich people are making our Republic into an Oligarchy. :grrr:

Amazon started out as a few guys in a garage selling books that were mostly technical in nature (programming languages, computer hardware, engineering, etc.).  If you COULD actually find these on bookstore shelves, they cost full MSRP and were several editions old.

Amazon sold below MSRP, offered cheap shipping, and had the most current editions available.

When their purchasing and distribution systems grew with the Internet, they branched out from only offering books.

I see Amazon as a pure success story.  A service filled a niche market and grew to dominate the entire US online shopping industry.

Nothing is stopping anyone else from developing an even better business model in the future.  It just takes an innovative mind and enough public demand to help it compete.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Money is speech it has been ruled in the supreme court. What they are doing is 100% perfectly fine.  If you dislike it, get richer and spend more. Both sides have billionaires.

Bezos is cool,  I have respect for those who are rich.  Many worked hard for that money,  I got no right to take it away.  And if they got lucky, well good for them too.  Aspire to be rich, that's the American dream.  Don't punish success.

As usual, missed the concept.
