Wow.. just 50 per Tuesday and Thursday only?
Just reading the link and PTA for long guns, does one need to purchase a rifle first? Get the info for the rifle and then apply for a long gun permit? I forgot how this work. I know my long gun permit is expired already 3 years later. I was wanting to apply for another long gun permit before I purchase. I’m planning on ordering online and have it sent to a authorized FFL dealer or a lgs. Then register it when it arrives.

According to HPD website it's been reduced to 40 people per day...

Good ting (sic) that not that many people have been showing up each day. Only 15 on line today before 0700. Try to schedule two events in one day, like applying for a PTA, and then registering a different weapon at the other office. When you get your numbers, you can have them schedule one appointment at time X, and the second one at X + 25 minutes. Two officers are involved.
I had nothing to do today, since the Yankees failed again in the playoffs. Season over.

Don't forget the changes to the registration process.  I'm going to wait until the online website is running.

long guns need to get permit first before buying the gun
but if you order online you can, then the FFL or LGS will hold your rifle until you get your long gun permit.  need to show LGS / FFL the long gun permit, and you can take it home that day and take it to register at HPD.
I'm not sure if they set up their online registering yet

Ok thanks brotha.. I’m probably gonna apply first before purchasing since the long gun permit is good for a year. Though I’m not in a rush yet. But since my 7 days a week of work is now back to 5 days. I’ve got some time to apply. Then decide on my purchase. Thanks again! :shaka: :shaka:
