If I went to hpd today (monday)  do they allow to walk in and register?  I know what to do for Tuesday/Thursday.  I leave for a short business trip on Wednesday and figured either today or Tuesday

Register yes. Pta no, unless your lucky and its dead slow and theybare feeling generous.   you can do the stand by line which ive never done. But was told it could be 10 minutes to literally 3 hours +, depending how busy it is :thumbsup:/ people actually show up.

Either way good luck.

This is NOT PTA but to register a handgun

I will head that way and check.

Tomorrow has just gotten very busy

Aloha!

I just tried to walk in and reg. The guy said he was booked until 1145 but could hand out appointments for after that. He also mentioned we could stand around and see if there were no shows.

It's worth a try to get it registered by just showing up and I hope it works out for you.

It didn't work out for me.  I showed up at 12:30 and asked nicely if I can register my handguns.  Cop told me no, come back monday and stand in line.

I looked into the office through the doors and there was nobody being served at the moment and nobody outside waiting to be serviced.

But this was ending of last month (August).  Maybe things are better now.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.
