Federal Red flag laws

They are at it again.
Military courts could order ‘red flag’ gun confiscation under defense bill

 :wtf:

9/11 pissed me off.
Terrible waste of my airplanes.
I helped build those aircraft.
Today random killing of big city occupants,  suddenly
doesn't seen to be all that bad an idea.

When you join the military you already have a reduction in constitutional rights so it would be easier to do this to military members than a civillian court to civillians.

One positive aspect of this is a Red Flagged military member has the right to free legal representation.

Since a Red Flag accusation doesn't charge anyone with a crime, no court-appointed lawyer is provided in civilian court AFAIK**.  The civilian must hire their own.

**Note:  I assume this is how it's done, but some states may actually offer to pay for a lawyer:  I highly doubt it, so I'll leave it at "unlikely".  Not very many states have Red Flag statutes, so there are few examples to use.

Maddison the wheel chair senator spoke to why he supported this bill. If a military member refuses the vaxx, they will be dishonorabley discharged. This bill prevented that.

But the same bill had the red flag portion also. He was sure to mention that as the bill progresses, it will be removed.

Which im hoping why so many GOP senators supported it.

this is a great way to disarm the military and our adversaries didn't do it - we basically surrender

I can see the argument for taking guns away from certain "at risk" military members...

Nah.  Just a kid who got picked on by everyone for being different until he snapped.

Thank goodness there's nobody on here that fit's that description!

Theres a diff between picked on and being corrected when wrong and refusing to accept said correction.

Np difference when said person believes/feels/denies they are ever wrong, and that everyone here is wrong/Conservative/Pro-Trump/Anti-Biden/Religious/Pro-Life/Ant-Science/Anti-Vax/etc.

He's like a kid walking into a biker bar in khakis and a polo shirt wanting to start a dialogue with guys sitting at the bar about how Electric Hondas are better than Harleys -- neither of which he owns!
