This sums it up.
We should also stop using the troll's name and words in our posts.
No more about "collector", "3.7 GPA" and all the other stupid stuff we associate with him.
The more we show he's living rent-free in our brains, the more we feed him.
And indirect comments that are obviously about him but not replies to him (like this one) give him that attention he can't live without.
Trolls need to be treated as if they are invisible and never existed before they change or stop completely. And it takes everyone to stop feeding him. Just one person taking the bait makes his day of fishing a success in his mind.
No dots, no mentions, and no reposting of things associated with him. It's the only way as far as I can tell.
I've had text messaging conversations, and my unprofessional diagnosis is he has mental problems. He projects what he does onto everyone else to make himself feel better about his bad behavior. He sees us as inferior for the most part, so anything he does is okay.
He doesn't want to change. Until he does, the best we can do is condition ourselves to completely ignore him.
He's been suspended 3 times I believe. How many does it take before he's blocked completely?
