I worry about oil delivery to your power plant out there. Could that be interrupted?
I noticed a spike in my HECO bill this week for last month. Usage should be about like previous months, so I'm guessing the oil usage surcharge is rising .... again!
I normally pay about $300/month with my household of 3 adults and one child. My daughter does a ton of laundry each week and they tend to cook 3+ meals each day with rare take out occasionally. The bill was just under $390.
Last time my oil was sky high, I was averaging $600/month.
BTW, the water heater is solar/electric, so at times when the sun isn't out, we use electric power for hot water. Last week, that included the rainy overcast days.
There's a reason HECO breaks out the oil surcharge separately. Lets them account for increased rate payer billing without being blamed.
