Kanala said everything is going up so working people need to
s-t-r-e-t-c-h their dollar.  How is that supposed to work? Eat less? Wash your clothes less frequently?  Walk to work?
Tell us how Kamala.  And BTW, Kamala, what are you doing to stretch your dollar?  Oh, I forgot, you don't have to because all your expenses are being paid for by us, the American taxpayer.

If everyone refuses to pay taxes on anything, including income, what would the gov't be able to do?  That would have to include all businesses/employers.  No collecting any federal taxes,  so gas prices, food prices and all other prices would drop.  Cell phones include a bunch of federal charges.  So do cable TV and Internet costs.

The tax system is a "voluntary" system, meaning they rely on the population to voluntarily comply.  Enforcement for noncompliance is not through physical means, but by using laws to garner wages, swiping savings and investments, filing liens on properties, etc.

If nobody complied with the taxation AND compliance laws, the gov't would starve to death.  They can't operate 100% on borrowed money, because they have to service the existing debt, too.  That means they need our taxes to pay the interest on the debt.  Borrowing to operate AND service the trillions in debt would cause the gov't to collapse.

Just a thought experiment ....   :geekdanc:
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I filled gas this morning.  Luckily the station I went to has been stable for the past 2-3 weeks.  I saw 87 up in the 4.39-4.45 range elsewhere in town.   :grrr:

Nepotism. I think these people are just dumb. I do think they care but have no clue how to manage, lead and fix these problems. All they saw was an opportunity to sit in a position.

Stupid fucking bitch!  The entire Democrat party is responsibly for this problem.  They cut the supply of fossil fuels, by EO's
Let's go Brandon!
One thing I liked about Oregon along with the cheapest prices is the pumps have a break down
of the taxes per gallon,  and who they go to on every pump.
That is a real eye OPENER!
I fortunately do not commute to work any more.
But a single trip to a Lowes cost me $28 yesterday and prior to Obama that trip was under $10.
I wonder if anybody's wages have increased over 100% in the last 20 or so years?  Had they stayed in their same jobs?
Don't think so.
