Y'all know I don't like cops.
In times past they collected up people and took them to camps, and
put them in "showers".
The video is correct.
The idiot that abuses a tool is the problem.
We all here have been around so many guns for so many years
we all know. shit happens, but we are still alive.
Because we aren't idiots.
Unfortunately we have to live with them and they have a right to vote.
Do what you can to save what you love.

There's no reason to take police officers away from their primary duties to babysit a bunch of Hollywood actors.

Proper firearm safety has been assured on set for decades by legitimate armorers.  In this case, they thrust that job upon someone with little to no experience, and then apparently had on control over what the actors and production staff used the guns for.  It's been said they were target practicing with live ammo near the set.  That should never have been allowed without a competent armorer and props person managing the guns.

By asking for police to do the job, Baldwin is admitting he believes the person that was tasked on set to be the armorer was unqualified.

BTW, Cops are not the only firearms experts trained in proper safety protocols.  The NRA does that every year during certification courses.  Of course, Baldwin hates the NRA, so proposing the studios take advantage of their safety training that's existed for 1-1/2 centuries wouldn't fly.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Some cops aren't people who should oversee firearm safety either. Some have shot themselves on accident with their mishandling.
