A concealed weapon permit would no longer be necessary and gun owners won’t have to promptly notify law enforcement they are carrying.

Yay for Ohio.  Endless boos for Hawaii.

One of the objections to the bill was that if passed gunowners do not have to notify the officer that they are carrying.  They say it is a safety concern for the officers.  They fail to acknowledge that the new legislation will require the gun owner to answer if asked.

So all the officer has to do is ask, lol!  Make it part of the protocol for officers when dealing with the public.

Another objection was that it disallows an officer to detain anyone having a gun.  Of course.  Why must one be detained just because they possess a gun?

This objection is silly because if there is probable cause the officer has every right to detain you, whether you have a gun or not.

Again, Yay for Ohio and Hawaii can suck it.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Ohio sure has come a long way since Kent state.
From a disarmed citizenry to a well armed citizenry.
The government is not your boss, it is your servant.
Too bad Hawaii hasn't learned that lesson yet.

Maybe it takes a tyrannical government -- federal and/or state -- shooting into a crowd of protesters and killing a few for the lesson to be made clear?

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
