did you stop by the hifico event?

Looked like they were still setting up when I left around 9:30.  I was at the pistol side when they opened.  Didn’t get to attend…

Just picked up my load from Jennifer/Kaleoarms:

2 bricks of Lapua X-Act
4 bricks of Norma TAC-22                              ($258 a brick to $43 a brick............talk about high and low)

Note that Lapua has completely changed the packaging of all their product lines from about a year ago

Now if the wind could die down a bit.  Got 5 bricks of Lapua CenterX that just arrived and another 5 bricks of Sk rifle match shipping in the next pallet.  Hopefully my new rifle build will be ready next month just in time for ammo testing.

Amen   :worship:       Waiting for no wind day, but not holding my breath.

I just had to get more X-Act, against my better judgement, though...........  I really need to test the old bricks against the new bricks and find out if there is really a difference between these Lapua brands due to the prices.

Good question because I’ve got a Glock 44 coming next month or so, so I wanna know what I should shoot through it for range/ target and if I ever feel like carrying it over my 22 or 17, I’d wanna know what is good here for carry ammo in .22

All I have experience with is normal LR, CCI subsonic, and mini mags, and some unknown LR my uncle gave me with my first .22 when I was like 17

I hear ya.  I was thinking of heading to the range this past Sunday.  Initial plan was to shoot the new 6.5, but didn't have a chance to load up some rounds.  I have lots of Eley match to shoot, but then I saw the wind howling and figured not a good time to do tests to refine the tuner setting.

What rifle build again?  Sorry, I know you mentioned, but forgot.  Been thinking of a Vudoo or Rimx, but that's likely quite far off.

We're heading into August soon, so I bet there are lots of no tradewind days coming.

More ammo is always good judgement!  ;D

For semi-auto pistols, CCi mini-mags is my gold standard, as well as many others.  Might be tough to find right now, but lots of CCi to choose from that work well as well.  If you want to venture into higher grade/priced ammo, there are lot of pistol match ammo.  SK comes to mind.

As for options for carrying a .22 lr pistol, that's a totally different discussion. . . this one was mostly geared toward .22 lr for rifles, but certainly don't discriminate to pistol shooters

Registered the Vudoo today but still waiting on some components to finish.  Should be ready to shoot mid August.  I’ll shoot the CZ in the meantime.

Awesome!  What chassis?  Or that's part of the "still waiting"?

I am debating on swapping out the stock on my CZ457 AT-One, or just sticking with it.

It’s in a MPA matrix chassis.  22” MTU barrel with trigger tech diamond single stage.  Deciding on the Spur mount or American rifle company mbrace.  Accu tac bipod just arrived.

Out-STANDING? We have very similar tastes in guns!

I have two MPA chassis.  One BA Comp and another BA Comp ESR.  I haven't shot the Matrix, but a 2a poster has one.  Both my .308 and 6.5 CMs are M24, but that's because the MTU Bartleins were longer wait time.  I went with TT Diamond two-stage.  If you are in need of a TT Diamond single stage, LMK.  I have one that I'm not using.

My .308 and 6.5 have Spuhr mounts.  I have another 6.5 that currently has "placeholder" scope with ARC M-brace rings, but when I get the real scope, I'm leaning heavily toward the ARC M-brace mount.  I really like the Spuhr mounts, but kind of wanting to try something different.  Bipods, I went with Atlas and TBAC bipods.

Now that my centerfire are setup that way, the .22 lr is feeling neglected. haha

Vudoo 360.  Apparition in the MPA Matrix Chassis.  I wanted it because of the various grip and thump shelf sizing.  Boy it’s heavy though.

BTW, let me know if you are interested in any MPA accessories.  I have built up a bit of a box of stuff that I don't use.

Looks outstanding !  Will probably shoot as good as it looks.  Want to see it at Kokohead soon.
