I have that extractor. At first the range officer tried and failed.   I ordered that extractor and soaked the chamber with penetrating oil for 2 days.  I tried to extract it but failed.  I want to send it to a gunsmith before I mess it up

If the cartridge is spent, this youtuber recommends a cleaning rod (which tries to get at the broken casing from the barrel end). Read the comments that follow the video.

Try calling Wayne Takashita at 235-2767 if you need a pro to remove the broken casing. He was recommended to me by SEC.

He may be able to tell you whether the ammo or rifle was at fault. Above all, have him clean and lube the rifle too.

The rim of the case is broken off.  I don't want to mess with it anymore.  I called Wayne and he can do it.  It will take 2 Weeks and it's ok.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Wayne is the best.  He got the broken shell out of the chamber and also polished the chamber.

Nice. Any idea what caused the problem?
