Just found out from Devin at Bushido Arms that you can download the 4473 fillable PDF form off the ATF website. Fill out before you get to the Gun Shop or FFL. Tried to include a link but no skills.

I'm wondering why "they" felt the need to change wording and sentences.

The one that raised my eyebrow was question 24:  Changed "type" to "category".

Seems like nothing when reading the new revised question but for some reason I can't figure why this bothers me.

Are all these changes just for more clarification and ease of understanding or is there a more sinister reason for these changes........

IMHO, "type" is more of a technical term, where "category" is administrative.

The difference between how the industry classifies a firearm or part, versus how the law does it.

One of the FFL's i use has always used a PDF 4473.  But then again, he is a newer FFL

He has to move out of Puuhale, not doing much manufacturing of ammo right now.
