in June, I bought 3 new surplus AK 30-round steel mags (they were $19.99 at the time, I just checked and they have gone up to $24.99 now) and a couple AR magazine springs from midway.  Shipping, handling, and insurance was $17.65.  iirc, whenever i buy from them, the package arrives within a week by USPS.  I think they use the flat rate boxes when possible, so if the items are smaller, the shipping won't be as much.

Technically they're illegal, but HPD has said they won't give you trouble for a 30 rd AR / AK mag.  They are, of course, free to change their mind at any point in time.

Last time I checked, Brownell's and Cabela's had shit pricing for shipping.

I endorse 44mag.com, but haven't bought from them in a while.

I bought some USGI mags in June.  They are my #1 option for mags.  I noticed that the prices on some of the mags have gone up since then.  Like the NHMTG mags were $12.99 each in June and are now $13.99. 

AIM Surplus had D&H USGI mags with Magpul followers for $8.95 each if you bought 10 or more.  I checked yesterday and they were out though.

A few days ago I ordered 2 of the new M3 PMAG's from botachtactical, they shipped and will be delivered today. When I tried to order 2 more yesterday they emailed responding that only LE could order high cap mags to hawaii and as such I had them cancel my 2nd order. 


Update: Luckily it was sent by mistake, more new M3 PMAGS on the way.

44mag, Aim, and botach are the same for now and all offer free shipping. For now aim is pretty backed up, at least 3-4 days between order date and ship date, but my orders from botach and 44 in the last week were shipped pretty fast.

They also charged my card, then refused to ship. I had to wait for the refund.

botach is frustrating to deal with.  they never show if an item is not in stock on their website.  then they charge me and then i get a notification a day later that it is not in stock.

sometimes the gambles pay off though.  they have some killer deals from time to time.

I paid for 2 100 round surefire AR mags when they had a killer deal. ($79 each)

They took my money and two weeks later I emailed them asking if they sent out my mags yet. They returned my email stating that they are out of stock and won't be getting them anymore.

Two days later, I see them listing the mags again at a much higher price.
