Ignoring the comments of the forum member that can't live without providing some sort of criticism to my posts while not contributing anything to the discussion, conducting a proxy war without regard to the lives of the people being sacrificed is very selfish and evil.  I am not saying you are selfish and evil as I understand your logic, but there are now consequences that can and will potentially affect the lives of everyone on this planet.

Russia just up the ante by sending its warships to Cuba and it's only a matter of time before they decide to station nuclear weapons there in response to the US empire allowing permission for Ukraine to use US imperial weapons to strike Russian territory directly.  The US empire will likewise further escalate to whatever they see fit and solidify a cycle that will definitely spin out of control in the near future unless someone blinks.

If I may ask, what has Russia done to draw your dislike?

Hillary claimed that Trump was Putin's puppet and stole the 2016 election. That's why the liberals hate Russia.

In 2014 the CIA overthrew the Ukrainian government and put a bunch of Nazis in charge tasked with kicking off a proxy war in order to launder money for the military industrial complex. That's why righties hate Russia.

Basically everyone who supports the war has been propagandized by CIA controlled media and now that World War 3 has started nobody wants to admit they were lied to.

There's a reason pride is the number one sin.

Perfectly explained.

I would only add the other reason the oligarchs, deep state, Power Okole, ultrawealthy, CIA, etc. of the US empire hates Russia and China for that matter is that they directly threaten the US empire's military and economic dominance in the World.  The rise of BRICS and the fall of the Petro-dollar all but ensures the eventual collapse of the empire, though not the nation state per se.

Although the Rubicon has been crossed, it is sad that the American populace could not see through their own pride and ego along with the propaganda of the Uni-party like you mentioned that could have stopped the covert transformation of their republic to the current hated empire that the rest of the Free-World are collectively working towards its demise now.

Which country do you support to displace the US as the "military and economic dominance in the World?"

If the US decided to stop doing what you accuse us of, someone is going to take the opportunity to step in and take that role.

I am staunch adherent to the Bismarckian notion of "Balance of Power", where the major economic and military nations of the World would theoretically have limited spheres of influence, but not willfully engage in any type of geopolitical expansion over smaller sovereign neutral nations which would automatically trigger the other major countries to undertake military or economic actions to maintain the geopolitical security of the status quo.

Unlike the toothless UN, such an arrangement although not perfect, would work to maintain long-term peace and economic stability by preventing the future rise of would-be empires.

The people of this planet have access and are more educated than ever in the history of the human race and such a global geopolitical steady-state scenario is not out of reach.

Name a significant period in recent history where that theory applied to reality.

Recent can be all the way back to the 1600s.

There's not been an era I'm aware of in which at least one nation is not seeking to expand their "sphere of influence."  In a world where resources are not evenly distributed, there will always be those who seek to control and/or obtain them ahead of others.

You make a lot of good points Chicom but I'm with Flapp on this. Every time centralized control is attempted it always fails. Humans are too chaotic and there's no group of elites qualified to make the decisions for all of humanity. The result is always mass graves. Better to malama our neighborhood and make it too expensive for someone to try and take over.

What points you made is true, but you must be well-aware this movement to what I described is already taking shape via the nations of BRICS.

What is interesting about BRICS is the fact a number of its member nations do not necessarily have good relations with one another.  India and China are not allies nor is Iran and Saudi Arabia united Muslim nations, but they are examples of nations putting their differences aside to at least have mutual respect for each other and bettering their own economies with fair trade led by resource rich Russia and business-minded China.

There will always be disputes and wars between nations in the future, but for now, there at least are an ever-growing list of nations willing to be part of a multi-polar World.

How closely does "taking shape" equate to "reality?"

Interesting way to show your covert dislike of BRICS by posing your question above.

The World is moving towards a multipolar World and what is reality is the BRICS nations and all of their affiliates beginning to operate in that World as evidenced by events such as the Saudi Arabia ending the Petrodollar as well as nations that have of history of not liking each other putting their historic differences aside in favor of economic growth.

When I mentioned taking shape, I was referring to the many vassal states of the US empire that are quietly quitting their allegiance to the empire in favor of their own nation's self-interest.  Mexico and Egypt, for example, are two historical client states that have always bowed down to the dictates of the US empire but are both flirting with joining BRICS much to the chagrin of Washington DC.

As soon as the US is removed from competition they will be at each other's throats. Russia and China are natural enemies. It's just the stupidity of our Deep State that drove them together.

The US was reluctant to engage in WWII until Germany started killing innocent Americans.

That very well be the case, as there is no way to tell.  However, not all historical animosities are guaranteed.  France and Great Britain were rivals for centuries but are currently not at this moment in history.  Likewise, even in Great Britain itself, the hatred between the Scots & Irish against the British has always and still exists today to some degree, but we don't see them going at each other's throats right now.

As for Russia and China, unless both has imperial ambitions for more territory, it seems unlikely, border clashes notwithstanding, they would engage in any type of major war now in the age of nuclear weapons.  It very well may be possible that a new, but not perfect era of peace and trade can take place on this planet once the US empire dissolves and its remnants be willing parts of the multi-polar World.

Tell that to the growing number of nations wanting to escape the US empire and join BRICS.

The US was reluctant to engage in WWII until Germany started killing innocent Americans.
The people of the American republic following the advice of Founding Father Washington did not want to engage in any foreign entanglements, but FDR and others in the government surely did.

If we once again take the bench while others battle for king of the mountain, it won't be long at all before the same draws us into the mix.
That can only happen if the nation in-question wants to get involved for its own selfish self-interest.

That's so true, but you left out how it is the US empire that is the one currently bullying the rest of the free-World to submit to its will.
