Your point is ambiguous and hypothetical.  There are limits to what anyone involved in a "movement" can control, and in what they can plan.  Most of these protests are not planned in detail.  They set a time and place, advertise for supporters to show up, and maybe help get the signs made.  They may work on the messaging, but for those on the Left, half the time they don't have anything they are protesting "FOR", only against.

You seem to believe protests are organized, have a centralized leadership, and have a moral mandate to protect the public.

I guess blocking a few roadways and blowing some air horns are irresponsible, unlike those BLM protests that caused billions in property damage, dozens  of assaults and even murders.

Where did you get your standard operating procedures for protests?  Making them up as you go like most other opinions you post?

Ok, so for the truckers your logic is that they cannot help what other people who attend decide to do. I don't recall you applying such logic when people at BLM gatherings started rioting and burning down the city.

But you are still sidestepping the issue by focusing on how much can be controlled. Whether the crowd can be controlled or not is not that relevant to the question of whether it alienates people who would otherwise support you. This isn't a hypothetical point, people are/were getting pissed off at the truckers. I don't know why you can't admit that the methods employed at a political gathering could end up being counter productive. If you had a gun rights rally at the capitol and someone shows up with a Nazi flag are you just gonna say "can't control who shows up" and refuse to admit it stands to hurt your rally?

This doesn't have to be an all or nothing type of issue, just because you support the truckers grievance doesn't mean you have to defend every tactical and strategic choice they make in their methods of protest.  If you are so defensive of this method of protest why not do the same for firearm rights? The state is restricting our rights, how about you block the road in front of the capitol during rush hour?

LOL!  You don't see any difference between the PROTESTS of the truckers and the RIOTING of BLM?

That says so much about your "logic."

Also he can refer to my example of protesting the holocaust that I gave a while back.  There is 1 side that's right and 1 side that's wrong. Simple. Logic not feelings usually dictates this.

Oh please, what a blatant strawman. Clearly I am talking about tactics and strategy, not ideologies yet you reply to me as if I am equating these protests. How dishonest of you.

Everyone who protests thinks their side is on the right side though.

You're talking academic hypothetical BS again?

I thought you were comparing actual, real world events -- BLM riots versus Canadian Trucker protests.

My mistake.  I thought for once you were being honest instead of obtuse and argumentative.

The "logic" is that the organizers can't control what their attendees do.  The reality is that the injuries and destruction of one group's events were much worse than the other, so trying to make the point that the two needed to control their attendees is ridiculous and dishonest.

The truckers did not need to be controlled like out-of-control adolescents.  BLM -- the exact opposite.  You seem to believe some group of organizers is responsible for public safety during protests.  I believe the government and law enforcement already have that job.  In these two cases, the police in Canada went off the rails to stop the protests.  In the US, the DAs, Cops and media supported the riots and let BLM rioters get away with much worse.

If you want to toss around blame, it's not on the organizers.

So are you saying BLM isn't to blame for the cities looted and burned down?

But again, you keep changing the subject, I am not talking about who is in control, I am talking about how choices that were made can end up hurting their own cause. Doesn't matter who made the decision, that is irrelevant to the question of whether the tactic is beneficial to the cause. Please try to stay focused.

BLM as a whole does little to nothing to what they claim they represent. Snoop Dog goes to the graduating LAPD class and talks to them about not being afraid of black people. Has BLM or Kap done anything similar?  Yet the heads of BLM can buy high cost mansions.  Have they started any programs directed toward changing how police respond/treat black people.  How about done anything for black on black crime in Chiraq or other cities with high black victims.  Have they started schools or donated to better schools with all the millions they're making off of people.

BLM are marketing genius. They got rich white people to donate so those in the club can buy nice things, all without having to give back much at all toward their own community.  So right vs. wrong. 1 must learn this to understand why the truckers are doing what they're doing.

False.

Quite a few of his "crew" were not down with his Jew-murdering.  Even some who went along with the Holocaust thought (knew) it was wrong.  Many went along to spare themselves, their families, and hopefully the State of Germany.

Saying they all thought is was "okay" or "right" is completely inaccurate.

A figure of speech?

I can see it as an analogy, but Figures of Speech are usually metaphors and similes.

Sorry for hitting that comment so hard.  I just get really tired of Nazi, Holocaust and Hitler comparisons -- using an extreme example when a less over-the-top comparison would be more equivalent.

I used hitler because i mentioned him previouslly in this thread with regard if people protested him instead of buying into what he was selling since eef doesnt understand that there is good protesting and bad protesting regardless of what feelings are the reason for it.

Iirc the example i used was with regard to road blocking and anti hitler protesting.

Most Hitler analogies are intended to invoke emotional responses and delve into the world of "what ifs".  The reality is, our world now is completely alien to that of pre-WWII Germany.  The Internet alone supports that opinion.

I'm just a little jaded with all the "Trump is Hitler" BS, at a time when there are national leaders in the world that actually resemble Hitler ideologically.  We've seen genocides in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Africa, etc.  We've seen nations invade other nations to take what they want: Kuwait, Afghanistan and now Ukraine.

I understand there are parallels in every evil act that can be drawn with Hitler, the Nazis and the Holocaust, but the constant reverting to that one period of time in history diminishes the importance and uniqueness of that horrible stain on human history.

The morality aspect is rather irrelevant to the point I have been making.

Any side having a gathering for a cause, no matter their cause, can end up doing things that hurt the cause more than it helps.
