The fact the Times is publishing this story at all might be the most interesting part; it’s been obvious since at least last summer that the CDC is hiding the raw numbers.

Remember, they used to release actual counts of the deaths of vaccinated people from Covid, but they stopped in October, once even their nonsensical “fully vaccinated” definition couldn’t hide what was happening to the numbers.

Due to my "irrational" distrust of government, I suspected this all along - regardless of who is president.
I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I see this an an institutional sort of "Slavery".  Do what we say and don't ask why.
That is a very USA Democrat party rule, as most all the worlds Tyrannies also practice.
Look at what they are doing in Canada, a supposedly free country, but
Ruled by liberals(AKA Democrats).

This mask thing is supposed to go away soon, I'll bet that here in Hawaii, it will not.
Same for Vaccines.
Kind of like a reverse German practice. In 1930's Germany the Star of David was for undesirables, 
Here it is a mask and vaccines to show you are a "Good" and compliant citizen.

As I like to say, when the government wants to convince the public of something ... ANYTHING ... then they need to provide "receipts."

If they can't provide concrete evidence, then all we have to base our judgement on is their opinions and conclusions.  When most of their opinions and conclusions turn out to be wrong, half-truthful, or bald faced lies, it's ridiculous for any adult to take what anyone in government tells us on face value.

As for vaccines, the receipts are starting to trickle in, and the story they tell is not as rosy as we were being told.  Go figure ...
