The DLNR is stated that they "Take gun safety seriously".

So seriously that they had the guns in a facility with no surveillance cameras.  Got it.

DLNR needs AR-15s??

IMO, no.  But then again you never know.  Maybe they also are members of the Ukrainian reserve battallion.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Not 1 mention of "assault rifles". Just AR15. Weird.

Depends which side of the fence.  For us, it's assault weapons.  Oooooohhh....bad people.

For them, it's AR-15's.  Knights in shining armor defending the law of the land...... ::) ::)

I wonder if they were in a safe or a security cabinet or less? Cause if they were in a safe, then can't blame them for negligence. But if it was like Rambo First Blood cabinet, then yeah, that's no good.

AR-15’s we have no idea what caliber.
Could be AR-10’s these monkeys wouldn’t know the difference.
Could be 7.62x39, 6.5, .450, .458, etc.
hock the lowers and sell the uppers at the show this weekend.  ???

Doesn’t sound like “armory” security.

I kinda grew up on Makiki Hts Dr and hiked all those trails over the years.
That area was never a really warm and fuzzy place. Never felt welcome up that little spur after the old Makiki nursery closed.
It was just kind of a dark backwater. Even then shacks and campers along Makiki stream mostly on the round top side.
We're talking '60s
Funny place for DLNR to have a hootch, but it is off the beaten path.
If you want to be discrete, but close to town, there is no place better
