HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Authorities are investigating reports of a person who drove by a group of students on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus and shot at them with an airsoft gun.

Officials said this might be linked to a new TikTok trend called the “Orbeez” challenge.

It happened in the Zone 20 parking lot on Thursday night.

UH-Manoa Department of Public Safety officials said the vehicle involved was a black Saturn SUV with the license plate “TJW 087.”

Yup.  Many of the airsoft guns are damn real looking.  Many don't have the orange muzzle and my buddy's kids have some that are pretty darn close replicas. 

I often wonder how many of those prank videos go wrong and the "actors" get beat down.  Stupid. . .

Funny, I think i just saw a video that these shits shot those gel balls at a mom and her infant in Florida.  Also shot a 10 year old while he was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. The kid got some bruises and welts. To think this is what we will be leaving this world to. Lol. I got a 600 fps airsoft rifle is like to shoot people who does this stupid tiktok challenge and then some.  :rofl:

If I was a FL resident or even not but had a FL CCW permit, I would return fire with REAL bullets.
You can always say ”I couldn’t tell if the gun was real or not so I did what I had to to mitigate the threat
to my life.”  In Hawaii, not so lucky and you would get arrested for trying to save your life.  Not allowed.
