Arizona CWP for Non-Resident

Aloha,

Recently applied for a permit with AZ DPS.

I seen on their website they say it may take up to 75 days for approval.

Has anyone on island gotten it sooner than the 75 days?

I have a trip to AZ soon. Hoping it comes in on time.

I got mine in 35 days back in 2015.  The renewal came in 20 days.  You don't need a permit to carry in AZ, so don't worry about it unless you plan to go to NV, then you will need your AZ permit to CC in NV. You can open carry in NV without a permit.

Dunno about time to wait.

Looking into getting the CCW class done next Arizona visit.   Still researching for early May classes.

Do not plan to CCW, but the ease in buying toys there with it sure is attractive.  Who knows how else it may be useful.

I could not GAS about Hawaii at this time.

Same for me IIRC. However, that was prior to COVID.

Sort of off, but we just got our Nevada CCW renewal in. It took 112 days. But to be fair, the Metro website says expect 120days and if you haven't received it by then, to call them.

I've had my AZ CCW permit for many many years. On recent renewal, it took a really long time compared to normal. When I inquired on my status, they said they are severely backlogged due to massive increase in applications recently. I have for other states as well and they are also the same.
