Jury convicts former Va. police officer for role in Jan. 6 riot

“At the time, that was all fun and games,” Fracker recalled of his actions with Robertson. “That’s not the person I am … My mom would slap me in the face if she saw what I was doing that day. I sit here today ashamed of my actions. I didn’t have to do all that stuff, but I did.”

So make up your mind.  Riot or insurrection?
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

One of the crimes with which Jesus was falsely charged and ultimately put to death for was insurrection.

Not much has changed in over 2,000 years.  When an out-of-control corrupt government is being challenged, they can always play the insurrection card -- because someone actually is trying to change the government.  Nothing says an insurrection is limited to violent efforts.

"an organized attempt by a group of people to defeat their government and take control of their country, usually by violence."

... but, not necessarily!   :geekdanc:
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
