Palolo should be upper Kahala, not lower.
Happily living in Puna

Just today? Or for good?

I know one shop is closed on Wed and Sun, but I haven't been there since before COVID.

Everyone is not a millennial who's life is reliant on social masturbation sites for guidamce.

My LGS lost much of my business when I could not even get bore cleaning supplies there.
Lots of various lubricants, but no Hoppe's, Shooter Choice, or equivalent?

I know AK guys do not bother to clean, but geezus, what sort of LGS does not carry even the most common stuff?

I agree, you can call ahead of time every time you want to go anywhere.

I have traveled to the inferred LGS many times and found them to be closed. My fault for not remembering they are closed on certain days. However they do open early on Saturdays. More interesting conversations take place in the store than in a barbershop.
Most gun shops in Honolulu seem to be experiencing a decline in business. Last year and 2020 were pretty hot, with all the crime scares. Folks bought enough guns and ammo to last a long time. I have a big shipment from Kaleo that should last me through this year.

I absolutely want to support our LGS.

But the thing is, if they give the "ainokea" attitude, I got no problem doing the same.

Treat me nice, and I promise the benefits come back tenfold.

Yeah.  Many LGS staffers (counter folks) can be snarky, know-it-all, not give time of day, etc.  That's never acceptable.  What's going to happen if you choose to buy a firearm from them and you need help?

There's only one LGS that I will never give them any of my $$$.  I have seen some LGS staffers that have "opened up" after getting to know them.  Particularly if getting to interact with them in local matches.  Shouldn't need to be that way, but I have noticed it.
