Looking for an opinion.  Been considering the CZ TS2 Green but a nice higher end 1911 keeps pulling me back.  For target shooting what would you prefer?  Although the TS2 is more of a completion gun I wonder if its as accurate as the CZ Shadow 2 Orange for shooting bullseye.

Just shot a CZ .45 this weekend.
Not sure what model but it shot lights out with cheap Remington UMC hardball ammo.
Update: 97B was the model.

I’m shooting a couple of Dan Wessons and a Shadow 2.  Hard to beat the Shadow 2, but 1911s are just classics.  I just love the feel of the 1911.  Maybe I’ll try a different make/model of 1911.  Need to change things up since I’ve been shooting the same guns for a while.

I have a CZ Shadow Target II and it's a very sweet gun and had a very nice trigger, both SA and DA. I've shot the CZ Orange and I would same similar performance overall to my Shadow, but trigger work not quite a refined.  All that are 9 mm versions though. 

To me, the CZ 97 and SP-01 lines are similar to steel framed full sized 1911s.  The slide configuration of the CZ allows for lower bore axis.  I think the difference between steel framed CZ and steel framed full sized 1911s aren't that significant in terms of muzzle flip. 

If you "love the feel of the 1911", I would say stick with that.  The "I like the looks" of the gun aspect can't be discounted, at least in my opinion.  If you're already leaning that way and go a different direction, you're likely to have a certain level of grass is greener over there going on.

I've been following (on and off) the DWX since they first teased it a while back. We probably won't ever see it as they kept pushing the release date back and no footage of it actually being shot. Everyone's speculating that it never got past the R&D phase.

I was waiting for the DWX too…blend between CZ and Dan Wesson.

I followed some threads on other forums about the DWX. People have lost money to fraudulent sites thinking they were ordering the DWX.

My buddy has a stainless version of the SA Trophy Match.  Seems like discontinued, but that guns got me started on the interest in Springfield 1911s.

I agree.    Wilson Combat or Les Baer.  Classic design with modern refinements - never out of style.

trigger pull on my Lyman gauge is 4lbs 14.9oz .  average of 5 pulls.  its not super light but it is very crisp, short pull trigger
fitment slide to frame was pretty tight when I first got it, now it's broken in some so not as tight to rack the slide

That’s what I was looking at when I changed my mind at the shop and got the Scorpion. Not sure if it was the elite though.
Scorpion had to be suped up. Just found out from a learned gentleman that OG Sig 1911 parts are stamped (pronounced crap) and intended to be changed. (How accurate that is I don’t know but I trust the guy)
I guess good thing I had all the guts changed, even before he told me that.
If I had a chance to do it all again I would’ve got the Springfield.
Happy now with the Sig though after having work done on her and she is sexy.

That RO Elite is a good looking gal too.

Lots of good choices out there.  Although I’ll be buying the gun for me, my wife likes the 1911s. (Single stack).  She has a harder time shooting the CZ Shadow due to the weight an double stack grip size.  DWX would be a good choice but probably in the compact version.  We’re considering the Ed Brown EVO 9mm.  Little hard to spend the money on something you don’t see in person.
