Damn earthquakes

Just getting into a deep sleep and wham, a 4.7 right below us.   Totally freaked the cats out.
Really woke me up, and I needed to stay asleep to acclimate to Hawaii time again.

You would think these things could be scheduled in advance, at least you know when there it a hurricane headed this way.

Big island has most every weather that can be found on earth
Arctic Tundra I think is all we don't have.
We also face every Natural disaster that nature can produce.
In my adult life everyplace I've lived has been declared a disaster area.

“Not even a 5 pointer” (from Independence Day)

I was near Mountain View when there was the large earthquake around 2018. That was some ground shaking!

My house shifted a lot.
I had to help put the Kecks back together,

Which one?  The quake from 2018?  Or this past week?

I was staying at KMC when the 2018 quake hit.  KMC ended up closing and I had to stay at my buddy's ranch.  That was cool, but he has a $hit ton of coquis on his property and some of those effers were doing their best Pavarotti impressions. 

The place where we were at when the quake hit has a 40 foot container on tofu blocks.  That sucker was dancing around a LOT!
