The lawmaker that introduced the bill for bail reform is now asking Gov. Ige to veto it.  After public backlash the lawmaker said that "maybe" the bill is too broad and that it should be specific as to which crimes would be affected so as not to impact the safety of the public.

No sh*t Sherlock.  You actually figured that out.  Wow.  Good for you.

He probably got the grim realization that his re-electability is in jeopardy.  LOL!!! :rofl:

Damn lawmakers here in Hawaii are a bunch of clowns........

I've been to committee sessions where the rep/sen who introduced the legislation basically said "I submitted whatever my constituent sent me".   :wtf:

They should WIDELY publicize who voted FOR that measure!  People need to take notice.  It shouldn't have gotten that far.

He is anti 2a, he votes to support anti 2a bills. His wife was my professor at UH. She ran for Miss Cherry Blossom or Narcissus something.

I wonder if he's related to Corale Chun-Matayoshi. The atty who doesn't know the law on her "What's the law" segments.  She covered firearm purchase a few months ago and was wrong.
