I got out to Koko head today and checked out the tents.  There wasn't very much but the Hawaii Historic Arms Society, DLNR, and a few others were out there too.  I also saw the Single Action shooters out on the police side of the range.  If you want some pictures of some of the guns at the Hawaii Historic Arms Booth and a big boars head check them out.

National Hunting & Fishing Day is not as expansive or well-attended as Shooting Sports Fair, but saying that "there wasn't very much" doesn't give credit to the clubs who were there.  The archery club, Hawaii Metallic Silhouette Shooters Association, Kaka'ako Kasting Club, LIFE, HRA, the Boy Scouts, and others were all represented out there, running venues and making sure shooters had a safe and fun time.  There were venues for activities on the archery range, the silhouette range, the rifle range, the central tents, and 3 events sharing space on the two action ranges.  About the only part of the range where there weren't events were the pistol shed and the shotgun ranges.

The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Wow, it looks like I missed quite a bit of the action.  I did see a tent over at the archery range but didn't realize that there was a club out there or that there were clubs at all the various ranges.  I didn't have my ear plugs and glasses on me or I would have ventured up that way.

It's great to hear that there was so much going on.  Next time I'll try to get more information on the activities so we'll all know what is going on.

Does anyone have any pictures to share?
