Ballistic Data Charts
« on: May 18, 2010, 06:36:27 PM »
I wasn't sure where to start this topic so feel free to move it to the appropriate area!!

I am looking for a template to create a ballistic data chart for myself. I am hoping to print it to either a 5x8 or 4x6 index card and laminate it. If anyone knows of a link please post it. Mahalo!

Remington has a ballistics calculator as well as ballistics charts for all of THEIR ammo online:

I found a fantastic collection of ballistics charts from Shooting Times when I was prepping for the Chuck Taylor class... 3 pages of data just on my .30-06!

As far as making a 3x5 card to tape on your stock, you'll have to decide what's important to you first.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Mahalo Tom. And mahalo again heavies, I found a link on that site you suggested and it took me to JBM calculations...WOW that site is the shit! It appears you can calculate data for every bullet available. I think I will be busy for a long time.

No problem. Also, if you have an iPhone, there are apps that has balistic calculators in them.
I use a program called "Ballistic FTE". It has a ton of factory load data as well as BC data if
you hand load. Also, the version I have will calculate spin drift, Line of sight angles, coriolis(spin of the earth), atmospheric condition,
and a whole bunch of other stuff to help you make those loooong shots. ; )
It produces drop charts that you can email to yourself reduce, laminate, and paste
where ever you wish. It also has what is called a HUD which let's you instantly input
different ranges or changing wind values and calculates drop and drift. And, a bunch of stuff I'm
prob. forgetting to mention.
It's freaking sweet.  :shaka:

Impact Data Books just released little "stick on" data cards for your rifle. A little smaller then what you're lookin for but thought I'd throw that out there for you.
