Sig P365
« on: June 14, 2022, 10:09:44 AM »

size comparison with HK45, G19, P365
fired 100 rounds.  no malfunctions.  its pretty accurate, even out to 50m.  which is pretty good for a micro compact.
I like the sights.  trigger is a little long, but it is crisp.  with practice I'll get more used to it.  I'll get a number on the trigger pull later when I remember
mag release is a little difficult just bc the gun is so small and hard to get my pinky off the end of the mag without adjusting my grip a lot.  but if I pull it out with my weak hand or non shooting hand it works better, just doesn't drop free as easily as a full size gun.  but I remember it was the same when I shot a friend's VP9 SK, so I can live with it.  just a side effect of shooting a small gun I assume.  so not a big deal
I have a pocket holster and a Safariland ALS OWB holster for it.  it prints smaller than my phone.  it is easily a great CCW being its so small.  having 10 round mags (also has 13 and 15 rounders, but we live Hawaii, so...)
getting a good grip on it is not hard at all.  I was pleasantly surprised bc it is so small
I like the manual safety for pocket carry.
this will be my answer the doorbell gun and serve in my lineup for home defense.  if I lived mainland I would carry this

in the pic it looks like the 365 grip is longer than the G19, but it's actually shorter.  just an optical illusion bc the Glock grip is fat and the Sig grip is skinny
I also have a flush fit mag and a shorter pinky grip mag.  will have to try these at the range soon

Stang,

I got the Wilson Combat grip module for the P365 with manual safety.
The grip is better for shooting, but a little thicker than the standard P365 grip module.

When allowed to carry, the SIG grip module is thinner, smaller and therefore easier to conceal, but not necessarily to shoot.

Gotta practice with both grips.

(grayguns.com got some P365 grip modules, but they run about $95.00 > 169.00!!)

I remember having a hard time making my mind up when I narrowed it down to 3 micro pistols.

I finally settled on the P365 and haven't regretted it since. :shaka:

I ordered a cerakote module from Fdezwerx.  its a factory Sig module with cerakote.  lead time 2-3 weeks. I ordered 1 week ago, so maybe 2 more weeks to wait

Fdezwerx took the P365 to another level with aftermarket parts.

Please post when you get your module.

I tried my friends P365XL and the mag cut at the bottom is different. His is flush and the front is the part that has a high cut. So when I first loaded a flush fitting mag, I didn't seat it all the way.  On a closed slide, you have to turn your fingers toward the front of the (90degree turn of the hand) gun so you can get the leverage and the front mag cut to click it in.  I don't see an issue with the extended mags.  I wonder why they changed the design.  I like the cuts that you have on the OG P365.

Awesome review

I like the idea of a beefier grip module. I felt that the length of pull to the trigger was too close for me when I tried out a p365. Grip feels too small, felt to me it made the gun feel much snappier on recoil, as my firing grip didn’t feel as secure as I like.  Might have to relook at this with an after market grip, when CCW happens (if) …..

it is a little snappy on recoil, but not too bad.  probably a larger grip module might help.  Wilson Combat makes one and not too expensive.  I ordered a different one which is a factory Sig365 grip with a cerakote camo finish.  maybe one more week until i get it.  I hope

Just watched your video.  Have you shot the P395 and your 19 back to back?

Those mag extension make me  :shake:  I've has so many blood blisters from getting pinched from those.   :grrr:  User error, but I guess pain from the first experience didn't deter me.   ;D

the G19 is a better shooter, IMO
it  is blocky but I can grip it better, eject the mag better, I can shoot it more accurately, manipulate the slide easier
but the 365 is smaller, better to conceal, fits in my pocket easily
so each has its place in my line up

Nice!  I’m contemplating the 365X but want to get the 365 module, so I can get optic plus micro compact footprint. Wilson Combat module looks like a winner.
