You can't reason with people like this

The ruling should have come as no surprise.  Ruth Bader Ginsburg regularly spoke about the incorrect basis for the decision, and how it  was precariously sitting atop a Constitutional house of cards.  It was bound to fall at some point.

Maybe "people like this" should have heeded her warnings and understand now that the current members of the court were in agreement with RGB -- defender of women's rights ... assuming she was talking about real women, not whatever we see now.

Ok, fair enough. But if that is the case, how can you accuse those on the left, the anti-trumpers of being influenced by their bias and emotion? Certainly they think they are seeing the "truth" as much as you are convinced you are seeing the truth.

Nearly every argument we make about them, I see them make back at us just in a different wrapping. What if, sometimes, we have it wrong? I think it only reasonable and fair for us to ask this of ourselves since we want them to do the same.

A lack of compassion would be bad enough, but I think they actually look forward to mass shooting events as an opportunity to parade their virtue and attack anyone who disagrees with them.

It's not about being emotional or not.

It's about how much emotion,  logic,  common sense,  experience,  life,  etc you add in or don't,  to the decision/ conversation/ choice, whatever.

Clearly you'll feel some kind of way,  but after you take some time,  get level headed,  think things through,  etc. You can make a decision with logic,  reason,  everything else. 

That's why there are such epic melt downs when emotion meets logic

Not disagreeing with anything you are saying. It is one of the reasons I will trust a calm person making an argument over an emotional one.

However I have noticed that sometimes both sides will will use logic, common sense, etc. but arrive at differing conclusions.
