1. Osaka district court sided with the argument from the country of Japan which said that the “purpose of marriage was reproduction” & agreed with the definition that “marriage is a relationship between a man & a woman to bear children and raise them together in cohabitation.”
Furthermore, the Osaka court stated that the marriage system is system that exists based on the “””pragmatic purpose””” of “””the society protecting men and women to bear children and raise them”””

We'd have riots if that ruling happened in America

It's understandable why they might be concerned given their demographic time bomb, but if they want to get back to a sustainable reproduction rate there's way more important issues than homosexuality.

Since only about three percent of the population are "special"
I would not worry about them rioting.
I'd worry about the 10% or so of the "Progressives" we have to tolerate.
let their cities burn.

Good decision by the Japanese court, like ours they said it
should be a decision made by legislation, not by the courts.
If I read it correctly.

Why do people care about what celebrities think?

Why do people care about what celebrities think?

It's called Celebrity Worship Syndrome:

Quote
Celebrity worship syndrome (CWS) is an obsessive addictive disorder in which a person
becomes overly involved with the details of a celebrity's personal and professional life.[1]
Psychologists have indicated that though many people obsess over film, television, sport
and pop stars, the only common factor between them is that they are all figures in the
public eye. Written observations of celebrity worship date back to the 19th century.[2]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebrity_worship_syndrome#Entertainment-social

Although most varieties of CWS can involve stalking, most of us display more subdued levels of obsession.  We ask for autographs and selfies, tend to read stories about their lives, and want to get a "closer look" when we come across them in public.

Quote
Entertainment-social

This level of admiration is linked to a celebrity's ability to capture the attention of their fans.
Entertainment-social celebrity worship is used to describe a relatively low level of obsession.
An example of a typical entertainment-social attitude would be “My friends and I like to discuss
what my favorite celebrity has done.”[4] It may also be seen in the form of obsessively following
celebrities on social media, although considered the lowest level of celebrity worship. It has
been seen to have a number of negative effects with regards the development of unhealthy
eating tendencies, poor body image and low self esteems especially in young adolescents.
This can be supported by a study carried out on a group of female adolescents between the
ages of (17–20).[5]

Before Social Media, celebrities would use their fame to attract public attention for "good causes", like feeding starving children in other countries or helping abused animals.  Some were staunch advocates, but many lent their celebrity status to increase public awareness without getting more involved in the cause.

I'm guilty of being a collector of some musician's autographs because of their talent.
Not their political ideology.

So, how does getting an autograph relate to your appreciation of their talent?

Shows the nature of wanting to connect with someone you admire because of their public image and accomplishments.

Following that celeb's views in other areas is a short jump from respecting their artistic talents.  We tend to trust people we admire.

That's my theory, anyway.   :shaka:

It's partly monetary gain.
I have them sign a cd or better yet, a musical instrument.
It increases the resale value of the item.
There is also a spiritual element. Perhaps the musician will impart their spirit to my instrument and help me to play better.
Stop crushing my dreams.
What, Me Worry?

Don't let me sway you!  I'm just evaluating the phenomenon of celebrity worship -- since you asked.   :geekdanc:   :shaka:
