I put in for my Kahr CM9.  It is tiny and it is something I know I can carry daily in any circumstance or clothing choice. However it has a rather limited 7 round capacity.  Probably have an extra mag in the pocket as well.  If we can get one permit for any handgun, I’d also rotate in my G48 for the extra rounds, if the outfit would accommodate the larger pistol.

Or u can buy a new gun. G43X. G48 grip, but slide is smaller (G43 size slide). So u get 10rds.

Just picked up a new optic slide for my G48, plus the grip is what makes it a little more difficult to conceal, for me.

Tried a G43 and a Sig 365, and as for pocket sized 9mms, the Kahr seemed to shoot and handle much better for me.

Colin noir mentioned something that size is his mail gun. Just going to check his mail box, but doesnt want to holster up fully or be unarmed.

Jumping in on the micro pistol trend/craze and bought a 43x.  If the LGS had a 365XL in stock too, I might have bought one of those too.  So now the wait.

Since I bought one and have to do the PTA process, thinking about a P320 as well.   ;D

Would be cool if LGS sold the 320 FCU's.  I wanna see HPD flip when someone brings only that in to reg in person (don't do online reg).

I've decided on the Holosun 507K over the 407K.  The main diff is the 507 has a 2 MOA dot and the 407 is 6 MOA.  For the skill builders that I take, it focuses on accuracy, which I will be needing the 2 MOA.

Now I'm waiting to be issued my CCW for HI. Until then, I would not be RDSing the Shield Plus.

I haven't decided on RDS for the 43.  There's a rebate going for the Trijicon RMRcc (until Sep I think).  I am tempted to try the 407K and 507K based on convos with a shooting buddy as well as one LGS.  Plus I've been interested in Holosuns for RDS.  I have a couple of ARs, but none for pistols.

Even if CCW starts being issued, I don't see myself going with the 43 for a while.  It's mostly for "try and see for myself" right now.

My main reasons for going with Holosun over Trijicon is price and battery loading. But the battery loading isn't too much of an issue if u know where the dot sits on your irons.  But still in the back of my mind that I didn't officially zero it.

A side kudos is the holosun shake on and off. My AR's SIG Romeo5 is the same tech.

The side battery compartment is a feature that has me interested in the Holosun.  But I am able to get pretty good pricing on Trijicon and with the rebate, the pricing is pretty close.  Gotta buy soon though.

The P320 I am eyeing has the Romeo Pro 1.  Now I'm looking at holsters. . .  8)

You guys looking at 407K and 507K should take a look at the EPS carry sight by holosun. It is an enclosed emitter version that fits the same footprint as 507K/407K.

I was looking into that and other closed emitters, but for my reasons, I decided against it.  Besides this not being an open carry duty gun like PD, I lean toward what others are doing and take that as a clue.

I learned this after 5 various holsters and finally went with Safariland.  The "pros" use similar gear for a reason and the same philosphy came to play with a RDS. Many are not running a closed emitter like the ACRO or like.  most have Trijicon and then Holosuns. Which is also why I dropped Vortex and Leupold from the list.  But back to the closed emitters, I rarely see anyone running them. Warrior Poet, Jedi (MSP), IV8888, Honest Outlaw, Knockout Lights, etc...

I'm down to try.  What do you see as the advantages for EPS?

I've heard of them, but haven't looked into them closely.  Mostly since I am somewhat "set" with the RDS setups for my full and compact guns.  So haven't looked into RDS in a while.

Might go back to the drawing board. But gotta get HI CCW first. So if by end of next month we get them, then too late if Jedi does go to closed emitts.

Always testing and trying.  Imagine what it would be like he was more closed minded. . .

Dirt, water, etc cannot occlude the emitter if the optic is closed.

I’ve preordered the green 6 MOA. I’ll give it a whirl. Just set up my G48 with an optic slide and put a 407k on it. Just saw the Brownells email and had a weak moment. Lol. And I haven’t even fired or zeroed the 407 yet. Hahaha

Interesting. Haven’t seen many detailed reviews, but seems like solid product and tech.

Now question is second gun for the EPS?  ;D

I’ve already thought about it, and I haven’t even touched the 43x I bought. Haha

Most slide mounted sized RDS were originally open emitter. Only in the last few years have we seen closed emitter RDS that were small enough and practical. Most people use the open emitters like RMR etc because they are the most common. That does not mean they are better though. I have RMR and a few holosun open emitter 407c, 507c and 508T. But had there been the holosun 509T, and EPS series closed emitters available when I cut my slides and started my builds I would have gone that route.

Closed emitters are the future. But it’s your firearm and $. I’m just making a suggestion.

The EPS carry literally just came out about 2 weeks ago. That’s why there are no reviews out yet. But initial things I have read are promising.

Did more research and talking with some shooting buddies and I’m going to give an EPS a try. Just a matter of when. I currently have RMRs on Glocks, and have will soon have a 43x with slide cut. If the EPS carry is available in red when I get the gun back, I’ll give it a try, but very doubtful the EPS carry will be available but then. So likely will go with a 407k.

DCT is supposed to have EPS for the “regular” MOS slide cut (not slim) later this week, but in green. I will likely wait for the red reticle to become available.  But who knows, I might give in and give the green a try.  ;D
