I’ve tried both. Both are good. With 6moa, dot is quicker to acquire and track. 2 MOA can give you a more precise aiming point, however your natural shake/wobble is visually more noticeable, which could be distracting.

Being target focused and pressing the shot with a sight picture (not a dot picture) helps to make either or size dot workable.
"Embrace the wobble"  ;D

Hear many folks saying that and it's true to a certain extent.  Get/learn what is "good enough" and "send it".  There are a few videos about that from MSP, Sage Dynamics, etc.  A trusted shooting instructor and I got into pistols with RDS around the same time and had similar discussions about the wobble, trying to get it perfect or better, etc.

I don't find the larger MOA easier to track.  I found that the smaller MOA dot has more window to track vertically.  Can still work with larger MOA dot, but I found it easier or at least less distracting for me with the smaller dot.

I prefer the dot with the circle.  like the Holosun or Eotech reticle.  but I'm a fan of the Holosun line bc of price, and durability isn't bad at all
fast acquisition with the circle, with a precise dot for more accurate shots at distance

I wanted to get a Holosun for my Hellcat but heard of some fitment issues on the 407k with the Hellcat, so didn't want to take a chance.  and this new optic wasn't out yet.  so I got the Hex Wasp since it was made for the Hellcat.  but recently it stopped working, but that's for another thread.  I have a different one on its way currently to replace the Wasp

I am quickly becoming a fan of Holosun.  Starting with a red dot for a PCC and will soon be using/testing one for a carbine.  I have an EPS on the way for a Glock 48 MOS and will likely be trying the 407k for another pistol.  Seems like they've really been expanding and listening to their customer base on features/needs.

I was at DCT last week and he had 1 507K left. I was tempted to buy it. But gotta stick to the plan. Once HI CCW is issued, then RDS. Cause if not, then the Shield will be a safe queen. I really should have waited to buy the Shield, but I've had my eye on my own compact for some time now and the SCOTUS ruling got me hard. Gonna go HPD today or tomorrow to add this to the CCW app.

Seems like you thought this through and your plan makes sense to you.  However, you have the capability available, might as well train and get experience with it before you think you'll need it. . .

What, you work for DCT?  We are going again soon because he has Tasers coming in and our friend wants one. Which is why we were there last week, but he was sold out. If I see the 507K still there, that might be a sign.

Not made for shield yet. I think thats how its made, gun specific. So only glock for now. And ita designed for no optics plate, so can use regular irons as back up. Correct if wrong, holosuns website just has the pic of the optic. No details. Weird.

So get a Glock. . .

I think the 407/507 are meant to use standard irons.  Not positive.  I typically change sights on my Glocks anyways. Might just use the OEM ones on these for a while.  But likely will swap out to Dawsons.

They have a rear sight notch. Idk how the front post holds up (if tall enough). But i will shoot thru the sight.  As i have learned with my AR how to use the furniture for aiming points (assume buis break too).

mmmmkay. . .

BTW, more sites have the EPS in stock today. . . And Midway still has in stock.  Lasted more than the few hours from an initial drop.

Been looking at the ACROs lately.  Waiting on my 43x to come back from milling and cerakote.  Might send one of my older guns for milling for an ACRO to try. . .  8)

if you go to the main page and click the scs optic you get this
https://holosun.com/index/product/item/cid/28.html

then you click the pic and you get the info
https://holosun.com/index/product/detail/id/209.html

it is weird bc all the other optics you just click the optic from the main page and it has the info on that page no need click the pic

Ahh, thanks. I didn't click on the optic to get the details. They must know I don't have  a Glock and want to mess with me.

drck1000,

I got the tungsten rods for the SIG P365 (& P320) today.  Rods are really heavy for their size.... I think they weigh more than lead.
True to the reviews, the rods were loose in the slots, so I wrapped them with black washi tape (electrical tape or masking tape would work also)
so they wouldn't rattle.....

I think with the rods and a full mag, the P365 weighs like a "metal" gun, like maybe a compact 1911.....

The last picture is my P365 with the Wilson Combat grip module and the extended mag.
(I think the WC grip makes the 365 real close in size to the HellCat)

The WC grip, tungsten rod, and extended mag are good for Kokohead.
I would revert to the standard SIG grip and short mag for CCW though....lots of carrying and not shooting......

Thanks.  Still a little over a week from having my P320 in hand.  The P320 will be primarily to try the P320 line since I always wanted to try.  Mostly for general range time, training and likely eventually competition.  Need to get more mags, but have the holsters already.  I read a lot of positives about the heavier Legion grip module, so really want to try that.  I have one on the way without the weights.  Not thinking about CCW for the P320.
