Haven't shot Mrs. CMO's P365 XL yet, but I def like the feel of it compared to the Shield Plus.  Since the slide on the XL is longer, it's easier to rack from the front.  Since both have RDS on it, I tend to rack it from the RDS. But IDK if this is the correct way of doing it.  The only down fall currently to racking via the RDS is the palm print left on the glass. Not too big of a deal, but OCD in my wants a clean glass.

But of the 2, the Shield mags work like how they should. Can't say the same of the P365 XL mags.

Get a Spectre. . . just dooooo it!

As for racking, try for yourself.  Depends on why you're racking.  Malfunction, loading, etc.  If malfunction clearance, try thinking about economy of motion.

The more I shoot the 43x, I see pluses and minuses.  With more shooting, I think I can certainly improve.  For now, I don't see going from a 19 or even 17 to the 43x.

My 43x is currently "in the shop" to get the grip laser stippled, including the trigger guard.  I am wondering if a little more grip texture will help, but overall I think the grip is a little small, particularly the width.  Definitely will continue to shoot the 43x, including hopefully in a match.

I tried the ccw qual's shoots this weekend with G19 and passed no problem.
Then tried with a 43 and leather IWB leather & clip (3 o'clock)
Was making the times  into the 3 x 3 but barely and it didn't "feel right"  :shake: so I quit halfway thru.  :-[
I need a better CCW holster for the 43 and I'll try again.

Nobody likes a quitter. . .

LMK if you want to try some of the holsters I have for the 43x and 48 MOS.  All of the holsters I have for the 48 MOS can accommodate the 43x.  I recently received a holster dedicated for the 43x.  I have to check, but I have two IWB holsters that can fit both.  I have holsters for just the gun and a "sidecar" model.  They do conceal slightly better than similar holsters for the 19 and 17, but marginally.  Maybe if I tried the Neomag beltless method, I can envision that being more "streamlined".

Not a 43x, just a plain ole 43, stock sights, no light.

If it fit's, I'd be happy to try.   :shaka:

Initially, I noticed the 43X/48 tends to float in my hand. I was probably going to find some sports/hockey tape to build up the grip and fill in the palm a little better.

Interesting.  LMK how that works for you if you try.

A number of folks (gun-modifiers) do a "razorback", which builds up the back of the grip (palm swell?).  I heard that really helps with the 43x/48 and the P365 models.  I have a 17 on order with that treatment.

I have a 3D printed back strap piece, I ordered, that builds up the grip some. I never shot with it on. When I installed it I was on the fence if it made it better, worse, or indifferent.

LMK if you want to try it

Thanks, but I'm already set on trying just the sports tape. Not trying to do too much mods.

I'm fairly comfortable with the 48 till I start to mix the 19 in a range session then it starts feeling a little off.

I got the 365x slide with suppressor night sights and Romeo zero elite optic
The dot sits right above the iron sights. I'm thinking after I sight it in, the dot might move up a bit. I like the lower 1/3 co witness
Soon I will replace wth the Holosun 507k

The Dems should be happy with your "green" choice!   :geekdanc:

Curious if your Sig sights are set at "combat" type sight picture (front sight covers the entire bullseye) versus the "lollipop" style (front sight only covers the bottom half of the bullseye).

All my Sigs came with combat sights.  It's been a major point of debate among Sig owners, many wishing Sig would copy the majority and save owners the confusion of remembering how to aim.

BTW when I use this, there is zero flinching. Laser hits where the dot is. So this further shows my disconnect when shooting for real. Just knowing the gun will go bang causes flinch.  My grouping at 10 yards with the laser is inside a regular grape (not jumbo).

Probably the extreme focus prevents flinching.  Like a cat with a laser pointer
