I have a spare caliber if you need.  Not my Mitutoyo quality one, but I've tested and they are "pretty good".
What do you consider a "pretty good"  caliber ?

Sometimes I wonder if our asshat LE and Political leaders bank on the idea that the rest of the country don’t give a rat’s ass as to what happens in this banana republic.

Maybe that’s why they sit on their ass and take their time.  That and the reassurance of the new governor mentioning he has good lawyers.

I'm getting off subject so I will get back on track:

I'm thinking of getting a snub revolver in 9mm.  There are some aftermarket moon clips that are far superior to the junk ones that come with the gun.  The reload is pretty fast.  Only down side is the bulk of the clip if you want to carry back up.

Would welcome any advice or experiences from you guys out there.  Seem like moon clip 9mm is faster to reload than the conventional speed loaders for the other calibers.

Reloading is quick, however…

One thing with moon clips, if they get bent a little, it can jam up the cylinder and lock up the gun.
Not sure if certain ones are better than others.    With my experience with them, in a Colt 1917 .45acp, I have to handle them with kid gloves. This is with both half and full moon clips.  They tend to get bent out of flatness very easily.

On top of that, you're limiting yourself to 5, 6, or maybe 7 rds before the need to reload.  the state's 10 rd limit for pistols is a much better number IMO.  It's all relative.

So, that's something to think about.  Not just whether reloading can be more difficult with bent moon clips, but how soon in a fight will you need to reload?

If I carry a revolver, it's more likely as a backup.

Snubnose revolver is still a good option  :shaka:

I like my LCR for HD bc it's small, light, and familiar to me
Outside the home I prefer my G19 or Sig P365 or Hellcat
I have a s&w 627 snubnose that takes moonclips but I only have used speedloader so far

Maybe the LCR.  But Taurus and others look tempting too. :shaka:

See dogman when the range opens back up. He as (or at least used to have) a plethora of revolvers in various calibers and with moonclips.

I’ve shot an Airweight  S&W in .38. It’s absolutely punishing with .38spl +P.   Lol

The hogue tamer grip on the LCR 38sp+p helps a little but still very snappy for a 38 caliber gun
The airweight is a few oz lighter than the LCR
I wouldn't want either one in 357mag

Ruger SP101?

Definitely would consider it.  The workmanship is awesome.  I love revolvers.  They are beautiful handguns to me.
