How far will the zombie craze go?
« on: October 29, 2012, 07:13:04 AM »
The zombie craze has been unusually high within the last 3 years.  Not only in movies, but in government related fronts as well.  I just find it interesting that now there is emergency response training for this type of event.  Although I really have a hard time buying into the thought of an actual zombie invasion, I do think that it is a great way to prepare people for any type of disaster.  I guess that's the thought process for the government too  :wacko:

http://www.cdc.gov/phpr/zombies.htm  (I'm pretty sure I saw this posted on this site before)

Thoughts?  Just a new type of prep and training for "fun" or a far fetched real possible threat?

Firearms are not on the approved list of supplies.

Edit cause i finally got a chance to read the article.  A few of the remarks are quite interesting.

"No one knows what the zombies will do in our scenario, but quite frankly no one knows what a terrorist will do," Barker said.

and this one "The defining characteristics of zombies are that they're unpredictable and resilient. That may be a good way to prepare for what the Pentagon calls asymmetric warfare," Thompson said.

I wonder if they have different motives.  This would be a great cover.

I'll believe it when I see it. Vampires and werewolves too while we're at it.

Don't forget the alien invasion preps too. Supposedly, it's illegal to touch UFOs. Like, actually illegal.

The Italian Mafia was cool as long as the Sopranos was running...

Pretty sure we can expect the same for the Zombies and The Walking Dead....

Mafia = Real.

Zombie = Fake.*

Zombies are real though - just have to stop thinking that they are dead already.  There will be people who wander around, with no brain, looking for food - who may have the smarts to group and run with the herd mentality.  These zombies are stopped by 5.56 fairly easy though.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
